Dont just let the batteries sit there. Leave them on a charger with a float setting. I just traded in my 3000 and im waitin for some 1500s to get here. and Ive been talkin to rusty about the lvl4s, he recommended to upgrade it to lvl5 coils.

?? really assuming the input voltage of the radio is low enough, like 3 volts and under, you can set the gain to put out only 800 watts. so, if a radio put out a max of 3 volts. you could leave the sundowns gain at 0, since it has a max of 6 volt input, then youd get half power out of the amp. Isnt this right?

Is your box volume too big for the subs? the only way to be sure you arent clipping is to set the amp with an oscope, unless your amp has a clipping light

You might just be bottoming out your sub, you could be puttin to much power to the subs than they can handle mechanically in the box they are in, is ite a sealed or ported box? you really should take it out first and look it over to see if its broken too

Is your alternator grounded using its ground post?

Just keep them on the charger till it says charged on the charger. You should also think about putting a voltmeter in your car so you can see what your voltage is at. check your belt too. if its too loose the alt wont grip enough to charge. Check the voltage at the alternator with the car on to see if it is putting out 14+ volts.

think volume knob.. you listen to yours with the volume down sometimes right? they never blew from that did they?

Is he a youtuber? i like how he said wat rms stood for.. then thought that meant he explained it. but ive had lots of youtubers say all that.. i think none of them realize that youd have to run you equipment full tilt all the time or your gonna blow your stuff. but when ppl do say "i blew my kicker L5 and i only had a 400 watt amp on it.. its rated at 600." They think they underpowered it and caused it to blow, when really they turned the gain all the way up and send a big clipped signal to the sub and burnt it up.

Will this thing only put out 50 watts at 8 ohms bridged? i need somethin for some tweeters and was lookin at this or or the 125.2 amp.

if your belt has less than six ribs it will still work with the six groove pulley, just but the belt on the grooves closest to the alt.

2 subs on 500 should be louder than one sub on 800 anyway.. you could wire it down to 1 ohm for a few days and see if it gets too hot or not. your may have impedence rise that takes out above 2 ohms.

your might of wanted to stay with the older body style ones... we've got one of those body style ones and its giving us nothin but trouble.. just a family car not as a system car

funny think i noticed about this song today. its either the 44 or 55 hz part, but at full tilt, i rolls down my power windows. haha i think think they moved down about an inch before it got to the part around 3 mins where it gets alot louder for 2 cycles

wats your port area to cubic foot ratio? Ive been building bigger boxes but still have long ports, but i have alot of port area and tuning usually around 27~30hz. for doors. i have and old honda so i just go to a junkyard and a few door panels wheever i wanna do somethin new. but yours might be hard to find. you doors look pretty flat though, you might be able to get away with starting with a piece of mdf and build a skeleton off of it, but make sure you keep the space for atleast the door handle, the switches too, unless you think you can move them around. youd also need a way to attatch the new panel to the door, most likley with bolts

its the port going to come out the side like the box for the 12's? and fiberglassin is alot easier than ppl think. make a frame, stretch a good stretchy fabric over it(make this part look good, leads to less finishing work), coat it in resin and let it cure, then start addin some mat( i usually do 2 layers at a time then sand off high spots and bubbles, then gets some short strand fiberglass filler to even it all out. sand sand and sand.. and your done.. it makes doors heavy though

i hear you one wantin 15s, im tryin to fit 2 15's in a truck with a box that works right now. My box is very unsymetrical. its got 3 chambers that bolt together in my trunk with and external port coming out over the backseats. The box is loud, and shakes houses, but for wat it is i know it can be better. so im rebuilding..again, with a more traditional shaped box. are you worried about a the subs on opposite sides of the box? that kind of unsymetrical. if so.. i think a good bet would be 4 10's on the front face. then youd only need about a 22"x22" face which you have. and its the same cone area.

might not be the answer your lookin for but,, if you cant fit 15s dont try, just do some twelves if your worried about having to build and rebuild to get it to sound good. or.. switch to 4 tens.. same cone area. and separate sealed enclosures facing opposite directions would do fine. I had 2 sealed twelves facing each other a while ago. all i heard was cancellation this and that.. but it sounded gread in my car especially for havin a pos pyle amp.

its not a bass boost, its a remote gain knob. i do it because i dont want the bass full tilt all the time.
