i cant remember if the 4l60 and 4l80 are the same in this aspect but there have been some pretty big issues with failures after rebuilds if the stator support retention bolt is replaced with the new one that comes in the master kit. the torque spec they give for that dumb ass bolt is reached way b4 the stator is actually seated and when it doesnt seat correctly there is a major drop in pressure to the clutch packs.

you are correct with the 4L60E. Are they overhauling this in house or installing remaned units?
