Birch is good stuff but I cant agree with it being easier/better to cut, mdf cuts like butter.

My guess would be that your vehicle, in reaction to the heat/lack of heat, is making your sub(s) sound like a$$. When it's hot out for example, my hand-crank windows go up/down much easier than in the fridgid cold most likely due to things in the door/window action slightly shrinking and things get tighter...then expand just slightly when they warm up, leaving more wiggle room etc...just a thought.

And yea, it looks like im gunna try it with a 6-rib belt and cut a rib off and see how well it works and if it'll hold up for a decent amount of time. Im just gunna keep the factory length one handy with some wrenches incase it gives out on me

Yea, thought theyd be the best bet...that belt may work but I doubt it ...Id even be interested in a custom-made belt if that'd be the case but I dont think anyone does that.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone would know where I can find a 5-rib, 79.8 inch long serpentine belt? (or within half an inch of that might do)...the factory length is 5-rib 77.8 for a reference and autozone/advance auto both dont carry anything within 2 inches of what I need. Im going to look at Napa tomorrow/Monday, they might have a better/different selection on belts. Anywhere you'd suggest to look? Thanks in advance.
