I totally thought this was an epic troll thread where in the end the guy would be typing on the keyboard as some kind of zombie like all cccccsdsdddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Maybe I'm watching too many movies, but it started out kinds eerie, I thought rabies right away. I dont' think you should make that diagnosis yourself though, have the damn dog get checked by the vet.

MOVIE REVIEW

Finally caught this one, I really rather enjoyed it. That guy is the best law man ever, he is typecast for a reason, because he's so believable. -
seriously?

I don't even believe in Karma. We all would LIKE To believe in it because it comforts us.. but it is as mythical as magic or luck.

If we don't know what is wrong, then how are we supposed to pray? General prayers sometimes work, but I find that more specialized, direct prayer works best. -
need a good camcorder

Ugg, I don't know much about camcorders but I would bet my UE check that Best Buy is not the place to buy one. Too expensive. Go there and play with them and then hit up newegg because you save a ton and get good stuff with it. -

Don't know what five guys is, but I agree on Hardee's. We don't got no Carl's Tumor around here. -
Yes, Canon is fantastic. I recommend that all day. Go to Best Buy ONLY to look and touch the cameras. Do not buy it there. Go to http://www.newegg.com and get your camera because they usually sell for $50-100 cheaper than BB AND almost always have a free bundle thrown in, like a case and memory cards. ALSO, keep this in mind. The price range you are talking about may tempt you to get a low model or used SLR. This could be good for you, but the odds are against it. At your price range you can get a very good point and shoot that EVERY professional photog has in their pocket as a backup for when their SLR fails or the situation calls for it. If I were you I'd start looking at the canon elph series, or even something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120381 You are ready to take to the next level, so go 10 megapixels and get all the bells and whistles. I love playing with my Canon and experimenting with all the settings. [edit] and as an example on the above link, see the bottom green text that says DOLICA 8GBWB10130 2-in-1 Kingston 8GB SDHC Card & Medium Case Bundle Free with purchase! You click that and add that to your cart, it's all free. There are also good bundles that cost a bit too, but that is what I was talking about.

Good cheap headphones?
slugdub replied to slugdub's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Yeah, those jacks man.. haha. I remember in a pinch you could like insert the 1/8 ones into the big ones and bend them at a 45 degree angle to get them to work hehe -

Hehe, even better. Nice price. I wonder if they have another model up even? Wire length only helps when I want to sip my beer on the table. The adapter kinda scares me as if it might cause interference or something, but I have plenty of them laying around. -

So far those Yamaha ones look like the best value to me. $50 AND also comfortable, durable and good quality. -
Good cheap headphones?

True true. I don't own any of the equipment either, so I guess that is why this is a big deal, it's my first investment in this line of work. Up next, I might be saving up soon for something I can actually use myself. -
Good cheap headphones?
slugdub replied to slugdub's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Haha, yeah? We have the same sized head. I've got a pair of the Ink'd ones too and they do hold up, despite my wasting them by falling asleep listening to books on tape which has worn them out considerably, however most other brands would have broken down completely by now. I fall asleep with headphones every night so i know durabiity haha. Anyhow, I'm confused if you recommend them or not? The Hesh look to be comfortable and flexible enough in the right areas but I'm worried about the top part that alot of reviews on the best buy site people say wears out, cracks and eventually breaks. -

Skullcandy have the durability issue that scares me though. I have a huge head. -

slugdub replied to slugdub's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
But again, I don't see the point in spending tons of money on the headphones. Hell, the whole reason I'm DJ'ing in the first place is because I'm broke.. well and it's fun and a good way to be creative... but still. I'm going to have to DJ to pay for the headphones so I can DJ? They don't do anything when you DJ other than transmit data from the monitor channel about the song you are mixing into the one currently playing. That is all. The only thing you want is them to not delay the signal, it doesn't have to be ultra hi quality.. but bass response is a must if there are no "clicks" in the upcoming song. -

Those actually look like they might work. -
I just started DJ'ing for some extra cash and I really need some headphones of my own instead of borrowing them from other people and sweating them up and risking breaking them. Any suggestions? Hopefully something available in retail so I can get them by Wed for my next show. I know someone posted something about skullcandy ones for $50 that looked nice and I'm sure worked fine. These don't need to be super high fi, just transmit the clicks to me on a low monitor level (quietly really) so I can still hear the music playing out the speakers. So far, I'm leaning towards these: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Skullcandy+-+Hesh+Stereo+DJ+Headphones+-+Black/8483697.p?id=1186003259156&skuId=8483697&st=skullcandy

Sorry man, haven't been down there in a while. I know they got a good mall though, used to be the biggest before we got MOA -
Wasn't he supposed to have a TV show by now? I laugh everytime i hear "Sweet berry wine!" If you ever get a chance to see Flying Lotus live, he plays some of those samples in his mix... "Tastes like fruit!"
