the BL and the havoc are the same woofer. the havoc just has the most popular upgrades from the BL. just so you know. and either one of those will be great. never ran them but my friends do and they are performing wonderfully.

you want to hook up door speakers directly to a 15" sub then connect the sub to an amp? and no one has told you this is a horrible idea yet? because its fucking retarded. or maybe i just dont understand wtf your saying.

how many 12"s do you want to run? a pair of XL's would do great on that much power. if you want to use all of that 8cubes then go with four level 4's.

i have a good memory of "ow ow ow, my finger is in there! drew lift it, lift it!!" some people seem to have a problem finding screws that will hold a woofer but its really not a big deal. a deck screw will hold onto .75" of mdf just fine. just buy good "deck" screws.

i had this problem once. the speaker terminals in my doors were touching the metal on the doors. so this could be happening with you or if its a new noise and you didnt change anything then look at your speaker wires. maybe they are grounding out somewhere. edit, an easy test here would be to hook up a spare set of speakers at the amp. unplug your door speakers, hook up the stock ones just sitting on the floor.

flush mounting is for looks. of corse the second baffle adds strength. kranny knows this, you just didnt get his point. my opinion on flush mount... dont do it. youll understand when you have to line up the screw holes and cant grab the woofer. or have to take to woofer out. its a huge pain in the ass with a heavy woofer.

why dont you tell us SOMETHING about your system. brand, model, size and quantity of subs. what car is this for? what do you plan to tune to? what size is the box your going to make?

i would stick with 250amp fuses. ive just seen a few 1/0 wires that were melted and the 300amp fuse hadn't popped. and that wire is only supposed to handle 250amps so it makes sense to go with a 250amp fuse.

i have the same wire on my 250amp alt and its fine. if you left the stock + wire on the alt then that should be able to hold at least 110amps so itll easily make up for that 50amps your worried about.

i hope you realize that you have a duty to hold comps now congrats, the place looks very nice.
