oh i know. they wanted to put me in computer components. i dont know shit about that stuff. told them what i do with car audio and he let me start with that. thanks a lot guys. best part is my best friend got hired too. this will be the 3rd job we have together lol.

i got that beat. i was up the NEXT night throwing up and felt sick for a week. i'd give you ideas but... i dont remember what i did. went to a friends house for a big party, he turned 21 the same day. about an hour after i got their is a blank. i was told i had a great time though the way i see it, you only turn 21 once so you better do something thatll give you a great story to tell for the rest of your life.

i got the job!! i start on monday working in the car audio department . job only pays $8 per hour but in 2-4 weeks ill make commision and could be making anywhere from $300-800 per week. so that should hold me over pretty well.

also remember testing was done on a .5ohm load. so his 2200w calculation is good.

search around the net you can find some good tutorials. basicaly you have to make a mold out of wood. then push the pvc onto the mold while heating the pvc so that it forms the flare.

the sundowns dont use a bass boost knob. its a gain knob. no offence but all your posts here dont address the problem at all. i dont understand how this could be. how did the test go? i could only believe this number is you had an o-scope, set your gains with no gain knob then turned the gain on the amp all the way up and retune with the knob and o-scope. is that what he did? im really interested in knowing more about this and figuring it out.

i think that is the plan at this point. start small and stick a thermometer in the rack. get some b4 and after temp. numbers. i do have more room under the amp now. i wanted to keep it tight to increase air volocity around the amp. i have about 1/2" all around the amp, exept the top obviously. so maybe the smaller fans will be more efficient than i think. were you at the show this weekend? whats that next one your going to?

the db rating is just how loud they will be. since ill have 4 of them i want each fan to be as quiet as possible. now the CFM rating will effect how well the fans cool my amp. its like, if its 90* and you have your ceiling fan on the lowest setting, it wont do much. but if you get that bitch to blow a lot of air, itll cool you down a lot better. now when we go to an amp rack, i have no idea how much CFM is needed to cool the amp. hell i dont even know if 30cfm is a lot or almost nothing. now i could just go with the highest CFM rated fan i can find but they are louder. so if i can get away with less air movement and have silent fans ill be that much more happy. i have been looking at those fans but i think i can get a better one. how many did you have? could you hear them?

well either way i want 2.5" fans and not 5". i found one thatll do 54cfm but is 34db. another does 21cfm at 28db. would it be stupid to put one of each in each amp rack to cut down on noise and still get 70+cfm in each rack?
