  1. no real benefit. 4 channel will save space. might be able to get more powerful 2 channel amps but you shouldn't need that.
  2. when people make claims of 150s, make sure they mean sealed on the dash and not in the kick with a door open.
  3. there is a thread here where people posted that kind of info. haven't seen it in a long ass time but im pretty sure its here somewhere.
  4. lol wow, so many fails for thinking he meant a sealed box. obviously you have your answer that it is hard to do a 50 out of a trunk. i know a member on here who did manage some high numbers out of his trunk but he built a new box damn near every other week until he figured out how to do it. so, at the level i'm assuming you are at, you will either need to build lots of boxes or find someone who has already done it.
  5. ya, the shop saw that too. i really dont know why it was like that, and it does make me nervous that the problem might pop back up again. hope not though
  6. ya man, wasnt yours a relay wired wrong? thats the first thing matt and I looked at because you said that. for the first time, I'm seeing 12.8v after a day of resting. where before I would see 12.4v or 12.1v after a weekend sitting.
  7. lol WHAT?? you're fucking with me right? ive had WAY more than 600 skittles and i never heard anything about holes in my brain when i had a cat scan a few years ago.
  8. My car has had a parasitic drain for 4 years. i had suspected it was the alarm but it had been checked over and nothing was wrong. once the drain took a tole on my batteries i upgraded to an all kinetik bank. then those got hammered by the drain so I bought all XS batteries. with that new purchase there was no way i was letting this problem go on. so with help from matt14, who did narrow the problem down to the alarm, i took my car back in again. we found that the old bypass module for the remote start was the cause of the problem so they put in a new module and the drain seems to be gone. the shop did warranty the work. I'm really happy this is finally fixed. internet drinks all around! :drink40: :drink40: :drink40: :drink40: :drink40: :drink40: :drink40:
  9. brand new razor blade. it'll take that rite off. use an old one and it might have burs in it that will scratch.
  10. not really. the AA arsenal is a 2.5" coil and 500rms (like the kole listed). the kole has 17mm xmax and the arsenal has 18mm xmax. I dont look into shallows much but thats what i just came up with.
  11. your math is a little off there chief. 2500w amp at %70 efficiency and 12v brings you to 297amps. at 14v you need 255amps. so a 270amp alt and a good starting battery could be all you need. if you stick with your stock alt, you probably need a total of 220AH. so however many batteries you need to equal that.
  12. I think mr.p had 4 alts in the DC audio jeep
  13. only thing i see being a problem is that the other end of the wire needs to plug into something and stay stationary. then the reel needs to turn. the turning will twist that end of the cable. so you need a way around that.
  14. and dont be afraid to just talk up and introduce yourself to people. everyone is really friendly and happy to show off to new people.
  15. LMAO! sigged. lol i thought someone would
  16. some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!
  17. i would have thrown her out of the car. i dont care if she's cute, stupid annoys me lol. its like someone chopped her brain in half.
  18. wow.... "even right now my car is in the top 3 for most bass, clarity, and SPL i swear." that man is full of shit.
  19. you dont need 2-3 layers of damp pro on your hatch.
  20. you can leave the foam there as long as it can go on top of the SS. im assuming you are using damplifier? there is no special spray you need. you should clean the panel though because it will be full of dust. personally, ive always just wiped down the panel with towels and that seems to have been enough. its the laziest way you could clean a panel though.
  21. terrible idea. fire them all in one direction.
  22. oh, i wanted to add. the discoloring of the terminals depends on what its made out of. terminals can be made out of tin, brass, aluminum, or copper. the black carbon needs to be cleaned off though.
  23. a necessary tool to tune your amps and help you gt the max potential out of any of your equipment check it out http://www.wccaraudi...ector-dd-1.html its a nice, easy, helpful tool. it is not a necessity. we all tuned amps without a dd1 for as long as amps have existed. those methods still work just fine.
