Yea, but he said the stud isn't replaceable. Can't connect power wire, then whats the point? read it again. they cant just reattach the stud, they have to replace the rectifier because the stud is part of it. at least thats my understanding of it.

thats about what i paid to have an old alt rebuilt. that one also had a broken stud. so i think it sounds like a fair price.

yes you can do that. when you add a relay you are basically running a wire from battery to remote turn on. the HU remote just flips the relay, you will be doing the same thing, just manually

my friend logan has some AP3000s and he was even sponsored by AP. he just made a comment yesterday, or today about how pissed off he was with AP and what a shitty company they are. personally, i wouldnt buy their amps. maybe look into stetsom or soundigital. i got my 12k used for a lot less than $1600.

you cant lock out the volume. there is a tutorial on how to set gains. as for volume on the hu ad you set the gains, just go for around 80%. i suggest you get a system that can do over 150db. then they wont WANT to turn it up. of course you do turn it up, just to get back at those fuckers. or just let them blow your subs then make them pay you for a new system. at least make sure they know that's what will happen if they fuck up the stuff you paid for. teach them some damn respect.
