  1. you and your dad want to caravan to the show? meet up in the morning and head out.
  2. in the faaaace
  3. you wrap the wire around the outer connector on all the RCAs and connect the other end to a screw on the hu.
  4. you know i would upgrade that alt too lol.
  5. at 1ohm i would think you'll be ok, low 13s for sure, if not worse. .5ohm, you will need more.
  6. thanks man. i was actually disappointed when i left and realized i didnt hear your truck. see you guys this weekend. ill do what i can to get you a little louder. i have an idea for your amp cover too.
  7. lmao. 2k is nothing, a level 5 will take 5k+. i give my XLs 3k each.
  8. you can try to ground the rca cables to the HU chassis. those grounds are horrible, you cant just pinch the wire in between 2 pieces of metal. my guess is that it is your amp. some amps just make noise. turn the gain down and it may go away. i have a ground loop isolator, didnt do anything bad to the SQ or volume.
  9. what size is the wire you are using? if it is too small it wont be able to handle 200amps and the wire will melt. go to BCAE1.com and click on "wire" on the menu. it will tell you everything you need to know about wire size and what fuse to use. there is even a nice chart a little ways down that page.
  10. the SD amps are great except the crossover on them sucks so you may want to get a cheap active crossover. but as for power, they are rated at 12v so if you can keep them at 14.4v they will do rated power after imp rise. that is a big plus. the 12k and level 5's will be a killer combo. should get nasty loud.
  11. there will not be an easy way to set up 3 12"s on a 2 channel amp. go with the two 15"s
  12. i havent heard the morel or hertz so i cant comment. i did run the pioneers a long time ago and i liked them. actually i still have a set in my rear doors. my guess is that any of these speakers will sound very similar.
  13. choking the port against a wall is a horrible idea so you are correct in staying away from doing it. can you do port and sub up? or maybe make the box taller but not as deep so you can fire the port back? yes, it does make a big difference but if its all you can do then its all you can do.
  14. maybe DC can make you an adapter? thats the best guess i got for you
  15. i hope i do well at the next show. my CAR went into protect twice yesterday. stereo turned off, gauges dropped to 0, battery light turned on for a second then shut off with everything else. looked like the car died but i still had control. it was weird... my voltage said 13, maybe 12, but i was idling so it must be low voltage... even though one time was on a rock song and only had a beat, not constant bass.
  16. because we tested port forward and it is rarely the best option.
  17. sure man, any time. ive been looking for audio guys in lincoln.
  18. its "on" not "of", damn that's annoying.
  19. midwestspl.com
  20. if you have an AAMCO near you, they scan the computer for free.
  21. Stereo West 7425 Dodge St. thats all i got lol. im guessing it starts at noon.
