    the port is WAY too small. you have port area per foot at 4.6. you need to get that up past 12. i hear with Fi subs they like bigger ports so you might want to try to get it up past 15

    ill assume your price range is around 350 since thats what i saw the type x go for. my recommendation is based on what i have heard, what i like, and what my SQ friends talk about. http://www.woofersetc.com/p7174/CXS64-V2--Image-Dynamics-65"-4-ohm-Component-System.htm alpine HU are great, comp sets... eh. image dynamics has great SQ speakers. if your price range is open they have a step up from these for $4XX.

    it all comes in time. just be friendly at the shows. introduce yourself to people, ask questions, ask for demos. everyone is very open to new people as long as you arnt a mess and need someone to do a bunch of work on your system lol. after a few shows all those guys will be your friends and the show gets a lot more fun.

    a 1v drop really doesnt take away as much power as people think. its all about imp, rise. the way i do the math, and i could be wrong here. 1500/14.4 = 104amps 104 x 13 = 1354w the box can be built great and still suck. a big time competitor insisted on a box design for me. we built it together and it sucked donkey dick. lost about 4db

    you wont just walk on and find a sponsor. almost no one is sponsored. the best you can do is make the right friends and if they want to, they will get you deals. but i would never ask for one from a friend. some companies will give a discount to competitors, you just call and ask.

    meter it. then you will know if the next box gave you an increase or not. numbers will help you learn a lot. x2, i tell that to everyone. fuck those rear deck speakers. you just spent over $1000 on your sub stage. you can afford to pay at least 300 on a front stage.

    not true. i had my pods open and they would flex the door panel and make it slap against the pod. very annoying. then i made them sealed and if there is any air leaks at all, you hear it. i have also experimented with different size pods and it makes a big difference with midbass. i dont know why people here dont think the same enclosure basics of a sub box, go into the mids. build a shitty pod, you get a shitty sound. same as the subs.

    i agree. you cant put 2 different amps together for a number of reasons. power output, crossovers, even the way the internal components react to everything. you just dont do it. and while we are on this topic, dont mix different subs either. to run 3 speakers you would need one amp, or 2 amps that you can strap. not every amp can be strapped so you have to look 1st. now if you run 4 subs (or 2) you could easily run 2 of any amp you want.

    ok well since you have the attitude of the average noob that comes on here ill be blunt. your friend is a fucking moron for installing speaker while the system is playing music!!!! holy fuck, ive heard of very few dumber things on this site. he fucked up his HU because he installed speakers with the system playing. not to mention hu's are made for a 4ohm load. most dont like 2ohms. have a nice day

    front sound stage can mean all the speakers in front, like mids and tweets. do we really need to be picky about such a small word? OP. you said he was installing the speaker and they all went out? you dont mean they were playing while he was installing do you?

    ... do you only have one voice coil hooked up on each sub? take a little bit of time to make a pic some one can understand. 2 boxes representing 2 subs and an amp doesnt make sense. and all the lines coming together like that with no color difference is damn hard to figure out. pics like that make olli lang cry.
