Well... Long story short. Im looking at getting a new car but everytime I look up insurance prices I get quotes for $400 a month or more, no matter what car it is. I have never been in an accident or got a ticket. Is it just THAT expensive for full coverage on a 20 year old for a brand new car?

Personally, id go with the 2 15s. Could probably run a bit more power to those than the SSD, plus it has more cona area. Not to mention if one fucks up you can still build a box for one fifteen to listen to all day and not have bass withdrawals.

What are you looking to do? Daily, spl, sql?

Run the L7s until you get cash saved up for new subs. Once you have that cash, sell the L7s and use that cash to upgrade your electrical. I don't care who you are, you can ALWAYS upgrade your electrical.

Anyway. If I was you and going with DC, id definitely choose the level 5s. Correct me if im wrong, but the lvl 5s are made solely for spl.... no?

Generally if you turn your volume nob up and the sound cuts off it means you don't have enough power going to the amp causing it to go into protect. Or Your ground could be loose.

Well if you got the money, and only want pure spl, why not try DD? Either way... You're gonna get some nice numbers with 10k+ watts and a few 15s. Good luck with whatever you choose.

After reading your build... Why don't you try the memphis' ? Not to knock Rusty or DC.
