why? have you owned one? i never had a single problem with my 12k in my daily driver. worked great for me. i have used both the SD8k and 12k my aq3500.1 was louder then the sd8k the SD8k was heating subs up in less then 30 seconds ( could play full tilt allll day with aq) also didnt sound good...at all ( to me anyways) the 12k..same thing but of course it had a little more power then the aq3500.1 didnt sound good.. sounded like a wet fart..

I went from 1 saz4500 doing a 150.3 to 2 saz4500s doing a 153.5 and my electrical isnt nearly enough for both 4500s so im surr theres still more to gain, of course, every setup is differnt

edit- my bad didnt put 2 n 2 together.. yeah just not a fan of rf and i never was one for sundown but i have been curious about them and wanted to test em out out of all the amps ive ran.. i like the the sundowns the best.. sound alot better and power houses!

Wait for the new sundown NS-1 i clammped a little over 10k from my pair of 4500s Maybe look into an AB1100.1

Mine changed about 2-3hz, but i also double power (maybe even trippled) -
correct now i need to find a way to get more box rise, any ideas?

when you try and drive threw a river with a stock hummer i LOLed sooooo hard when i seen this guy, he was going to leave it and report it stolen, then me and a few buddys got him out! if you look threw the vids theres a few where we drive threw the detroit river

i figured out my protect problem, its from not enough box rise, i clammped the amps, and starting at .4 per amp ( strapped at . 8 ) i rose to 2 ohm strapped ( 1 ohm per amp) and made... 11400rms!! so the amps protect from being wired to low, its ok on a slow. roll burp but not very great for music

little rundown on the build, 12 sa10s on one saz4500 box is 16 cubes after displacements not sure what its tuned to but it will play 27hz pretty well... it was built for daily.. not numbers but numbers are always a plus, with a single 4500 it was doing a 150.7@42hz build vid was built in a weekend day after i got it playing, with no tunning just slapped amp in and played it have since plugged port up a bit for more lowzz only on one saz 4500 at .9

Im gunna try a new strapping rca yes i reset gains with new deck, Im back to original deck now tho.and still have issues notvas bad tho

I would assume its pretty high since theres 12 subs, this all started after switching decks, im back to original and still have same problem my only other thougjt is the rca im using to strap amps is no good

Ok, so i wired it back down tho .9 strapped and once i start really "getting into it" the amps will protect, i have all bass settings on eq almost all the way down ( -4 and goes -6/+6) but do have sub volume at 0 ( -24/+6 ) or else i would have no preout voltage and have to have gain cranked.. voltage never under 12v i usually turn it down when i see 12.5v Im out of ideas now lol

Hokay, so theses amps do protect from over 4v pre outs soo, going to rewire down to .9 and turn deck down some so i dont get lots of preout voltage, I never even thought that that would be problem, everyone sms to like de ks with 4v preoits...appartly thats a bad thing sometimes

I have old pioneer back in, its a deh p6000ub it will protect with pioneer but not till almost full tilt the power differance between .9 and 1.5 is retarded 1.2db differance! ill rewire to .9 tomorrow and set it so i need less.... preoit voltage feom deck

425a MM alt 6 runs of wire 3pos 3ned 2 oddysey 2150s ( yes, i do ned more batts) it just makes no sence to me that im usung more poer at a higher load ( 1.5 )

Subs are D2s 12 of them, i would think risr is decently high with all them subs no more issues othr then voltwge drop

Update.. rewired to 1.5 strapped, no protect BUT voltage drop is MUCH wworse then it was at .9 not sure wht to do about it right now...
