yeah..you should be good then, for sure. be sure to route the edges of the port when you are finished...it will help reduce the chance for port noise.

i was actually working a new box today for some lvl4's with lvl 5 VC's and that box is a little over 3 cubes with a 4 inch Kerfed port. .. so yeah you should be pretty good with the 3.36...but if you were to compete with them I might suggest a little larger, only if you wanted to compete though

true it should be.....is the box ported? if so did you subtract the port displacement? just checking? i would say mount them normal....but then I have never inverted the mounting.

nope you are usually more than welcome to come watch and hang out at shows normally there is no cost unless you compete. that is normally.

Ha Ha Ha...not at all bro. No, worries, Boxes can be intimidating at first. Especially ported boxes. Me and my buddy just had our first attempt at a kerfed box, ha ha ha..we learned a few things from that...What a blast...waiting for the fiber glass to dry and then we have some sanding on it, cause the florida heat made some of the glass cure before we were finished with and and there are a few lumps in it. and one more piece to attach and then we should she how it turned out....hopefully by mid week we will know. Starting a second one today, maybe.

with the subs being 250 rms,,,the 1000 might be the safer way to go. I was told that the amp should push around 1200-1300 Wats at 3 ohms ( please dont qoute me on that) but it pushed my 13W7 just fine at 3 ohms. but if you have a concern that it will not perform for you (which it should) just go with the 2500 if your electrical can support it. I would probably go with the 1000, unless you plan on upgrading the subs before long you can always talk to David or Bill (kingsuv) about their opinion on that, since they are owners of the company:)

well, they play a part...but the box is the largest factor, i believe. My box is tuned to 32-34 Hz...but my car peaks at 48-49 Hz. If I am wrong about that someone please kick me in the head I will hardly even look at the specs of the Sub When I go to tune a box....and the box usually comes out within at most a db or two of what I was aiming for.

i prefer 28-33.. usually closer to 32...for me but then you also have to take into consideration the resonating Freq of the car. if you cant find that....get a 10" sub in a sealed box and have it TL'd and that should tell you pretty close to what the resonate freq of the car is. ______ the fourth is starting to effect my typing skills
