  1. Haha that was funny. At first when I read the title, I thought it was a video of the song Stick Em' by B-Legit featuring a Dancing Bear.
  2. Yea to get the most out of it it'll probably be permanent. To take out you'll probably have to destroy it. LoL. Do you already have the car?
  3. Do a Fiberglass/MDF Box FTW! I did it for my first time. It's not as hard as people say it is. Just need patience and work in small amounts quickly. Then wrap it in carpet so you wouldn't need to do too much on the box cosmetically.
  4. Did you subtract the wood thickness. I got 2.5 cubes before wood displacement and 1.75 after .75" MDF Wood displacement
  5. Aren't those components 4 ohms? In that case use both amps. 1 for each pair/set.
  6. X2. Go here to Photobucket Registration then upload the pics and copy & paste the Code of each picture here. Hurry Up! :hairtrick:
  7. Ok so I guess you want a regular port like this. By measurements I mean what is the Max/Preferred width, height, depth of a box that can fit in your vehicle.
  8. Give us your measurements you can work with. (Height, Width & Depth) Is it going to be a slot port, flared pvc port, etc?
  9. Steve do you still have you're license plate on? If you do, you know you're a hypocrite since you don't got SPL!
  10. Hitting my toe on my box i'm building then it bleeding and nail coming off! Fuck it hurts & Fuck That! Don't have enough money to get my truck dropped before school starts so I can be stuntin' like a balla @ high school. Fuck That & Fuck this thread! LOL!
  11. 18" would be louder. Your amp will push it, but not that great like ones I listed. If you wire the sub to 2 ohms you'll only be giving it 400 Watts RMS, (Probably alot less cause of impedance rise, and I bet it's overrated since it advertises it's "Max" power soo much) You could try and use that amp and see if you'll like it. It should sound way better then current sub and box. (no offense to your setup)
  12. For an 18" that can handle 1000 watts or more, AQ is everything but expensive. I thought you said you had $1000 dollars to spend??
  13. I would recommend to stay below ~1000 Watts for first system, due to many variables. Look into AQ Subs. They're known for best bang for your buck. Sub I suggest 1 18" HDC3 will be about = $249 (Without Taxes/Shipping) Amp For a 1000 Watt RMS Amp you could go for the AQ 1200D = $249 Shipped Sundown 1000D = $315 Shipped (Puts out more than rated) Diablo Audio Technologies HellFire 1000.1 = 399 + Shipping (Puts out more than rated) Box 7 cu. ft Tuned to 35 Hz for Loud Lows or 37 Hz for all around loud music. (AQ doesn't recommend anything below 35 Hz tuning)
  14. On the whole thing or just subs & amp? Are you planning on building a box for the subs? Ported or Sealed? What genre of music do you listen to?
  15. I've had UPS ship a amp for me once. The girl who worked there was the one who packed it and did a good job at it. I guess it's just the employee/location. But I feel safer if I pack it myself and probably won't let them pack it again, even though I had no troubles.
  16. I just put some fiberglass and mat on the inside/outer pieces of my enclosure and was wondering if I could apply body filler to the whole thing and paint it.? What BodyFiller/Sanding/Steps would I need to do.??
  17. It's pretty clear here. Might wake up around 2 or 3 a.m. to see a few. In Mexico, there is always visible shooting stars (Of course on a clear night), Man I sure miss looking at the sky over there. The stars are endless.
  18. I'm thinking more than 3-4 grand. That's gonna be how much he spends on just Amp, Subs, & Maybe Wiring. Also have to add Batteries, Sound Deadening, HO Alt(s), Additional Wiring, Box being Built (More if he gets some one to build it)
