  1. I'll probably never considerably overpower a sub, even if I know it could take it. Unless maybe if I ever get the worlds highest power handling sub and there's no more options to get louder than to overpower them. Until then, I'll use a high quality amp with high quality subs with matching RMS ratings.
  2. Might be able to get away with two 250 amp alts but after vehicle draw, and the draw from the amps he's gonna need for his soundstage, two 300 amp alts should barely leave any headroom. Unless he wants a bigger battery bank, but then when he plays it all day his batteries will eventually drain.
  3. Damn, what an awesome first system lol 4cu.ft. sounds too small? You seen the magnets yet? Lol 12cu.ft. tuned to 35hz. for daily music With your gains set properly. You'll need a big battery bank (3 XS 3100's at least) and if you're planning a daily build two 300amp alts.
  4. Just received my SAX 125.4! This little guy looks and feels SOLID! I gotta upgrade my cars electrical (stuff coming in the mail soon) and I'll let you all know how it sounds. Thank you Jacob, keep up the great work!
  5. I'm not good at keeping secrets... the cut-out in the bottom of the 18" frame will be large enough to pass an entire SA-10/12/15 motor through it. Now what would that be useful for I wonder ? The biggest coil ever created to accompany the strongest frame ever created?
  6. Once preorder starts I'mma order two sets! Was just going to run 1 set off my SAX 125.4 (still waiting on tracking number lol) but I wanna keep them under warranty, just in case.
  7. I haven't received a tacking number either. Were did you pre-order from? Sundownonly.com
  8. I know Sundownonly has already started. I still haven't received my tracking number, but all preorders should be finished today.
  9. I'm pretty sure it's recommended to use half the subs rms in a tline. I think you'd be fine considering the method Sundown uses to test their subs.
  10. For a 4th with passives you'd need a sealed section and instead of a port in the larger section you'd put the passives. If you're really considering trying it, you'd probably need 3 passives per sub to simulate enough port area. Let us know how it goes, this is an interesting idea.
  11. I was thinking of getting pc parts and a solid state drive and putting it in an MDF box with rubber washers to absorb vibrations.
  12. Maybe email tcsounds and ask for a quote on a recone.
  13. I'm thinking of doing a carputer too. Bump for input.
  14. Obsidian, Sundown, Audioque, and many others all have subs in those sizes. What's your budget? Goals - SPL, SQL, or SQ?
  15. ^ I would consider it, but my rear seat doesn't even fold down lol Not even a ski hole... Lol I'll grab some cardboard and experiment with boxes and see what I can find to fit with the most amount of airspace. It'll probably end up looking funky, but anything for that extra airspace! Lol
  16. It's 15.5" at the trunk opening to cabin, it's 16-17" lowest until than I think I might do the 36" deep, but than it'd be a tight squeeze with only 36" wide getting the port and subs on the same face Should be able to fit two 6" pvp pipes, but not sure if that's enough port area. Maybe port through rear deck somehow? I'll end up with 7.21 in2 ft3, 56.52 in2 total port area, with two 6" ports
  17. This should fit: Reason it's 38" wide is because that's the thinnest width of the trunk opening. I will be firing it forward. Maybe eventually sealing it off
  18. Oh alright, now how should I calculate my dimensions? I'll take a picture and label it with dimensions in a little while
  19. Not sure how that will work? I guess it will make it easier to slide them into the trunk?
