  1. i may have to do that. i just love the lows
  2. its an 02 focus hatchback. port back subs fire up. i just feel for the power im running it should hit harder. its not alot louder than the 1 aq 15 i was running b4 in a 6 cube box tuned to 32hz. To complement what has already been pointed out I would compare: 1) the Port area/Vb from you old box with the new. 2) port and sub firing direction. Same?? ALSO your electrical should easily take the doubled power. Wiring and all. Having said that HDC3 subs loose a lot their steam low tuned, probably you will be interested to see this: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/131804-box-size/page__view__findpost__p__1853199 35-38 Hz will make them louder most likely. yea my old box was tuned to 32 sub up port back. and i just added another hdc3 and another 2200 and i strapped them together. 2ohm nominal. I set all my gains with the dd-1 by the book
  3. you need to talk to thorshammer. look for him here or look on youtube.

  5. ok guys i built a box for 2 aq hdc3's 15's and they are running off 2 2200d's. its loud but i feel like it could do better. what do you guys have your aq's in? should the box be smaller? bigger? i need some seasoned pro advise.
  6. look in his post he made on here under his projects its 4 or 5 pages long already
  7. Yea he has said it before. No walls in the hoe. There you go ppl NO 4TH ORDER lol
  8. didnt he also say a long time ago he would never wall the hoe?
  9. oh dam big daddy meade is at it again. i remember when u did the last rebuild u said the old box was gonna do for now i was wondering when you were gonna switch it up. cant wait to see what u come up with
  10. later that night. this is distinktbean's wife
  11. yes sir i will keep it legal and stay free lol
  12. thanks man. its just 1 6.5 and tweet per door for now. im gonna add anothe speaker and tweet per side

  15. its been fine for 3 months or so at .5 if you believe that the amp sees .5 at all times while playing music, you must be insane. only reason that amp has been working (and probably the reason why its not working right now) is because of box rise No kranny im not stupid. im just saying it has been fine for 3 or 4 months and nothing has been changed. voltage is good and coils arent burnt. so that leads me to believe it is the amp as the amp was never designed to be ran at .5 nominal impedance.
  16. i've been having the same problem with a jl 500/1 amp.. everything checks out fine. but when u turn it a little to loud it will shut off, then cut back on once u turn it down.. if u find the answer please post it. i really think its the amp dieing. no dead spots in the coil, no harmful voltage drop, that amp wasnt designed for .5 nominal straight up. what sub and coils do you have
  17. its been fine for 3 months or so at .5
  18. the coils are dead on .5 ohm. voltage stays in the 14's. but the amp goes into protect then if u turn it down a little bit it comes back on. i think its the amp. i have looked at it personaly thats all i can come up with
  19. u are only getting 5 volts to from the battery to the cap? clean the terminals and replace the inline fuse
  20. he dosent need it. MOST computer controlled cars can charge at 16 with no issues as long as u have batteries that can take it. u only need a step down when u go up to 18 volt
  21. Would you mind explaining what all this does? Not that i doubt u but knowledge would be great it changes the crank time to a 1 second crank instead of the 0.6 sec crank time that is default. a bit writer is the easy way but if u are not an installer chances are you dont have one so this is the old school way. i have the exact same alarm too.
  22. ok open the door. turn the key on and then off again. hold the button down on the antanna. you will hear one chirp, two chirps, and three chirps. then let off the button and then press it 3 times then hold. (push, let off, push let off, push let off, push and hold.) it will chirp 3 times. while holding the button push lock on your remote till it chirps 3 times then let off everything and turn the ignition on and your done
  23. it is set up for 4 but u can run 0 with some reducers
