Well this was a task and a half but its done. For those with a 04 or newer GP a Kinetik 2000 does not fit in the factory position. What I mean is it doesnt stand up nor will it fit with the battery in at all. After several hrs and busting up my knuckles real good I have the damn thing in and secured. Along with the battery tray coming out I had to shrink the overflow spout coming off the radiator. Took light out to help secure batt in place. After install I ran the volume up around 90% on a .5 ohm nominal load musically and played full song and with dmm on the amp is never dropped below 14v and thier was no sign of a clip light.

Was just curious. With how much power you put to your xl's I just kinda assumed you had those. lol

The surrounds being smaller is why I ended up goin with more spiders. With 4 I did have trouble with overthrow but at that time the box was much bigger. I think I'll stick with 4 but I cant gaurantee how long they will last. :01nocomment8so: Clay do you have the spl xl's in Jimbo?

I will indeed have tests for everything from an xl up and yes I will get vidz of all tests. The xls will come with mounting rings so i can keep the same enclosure for all tests.

If im not mistaken the xl are single or dual spider, the lvl 5 is 4 standard. After talking with Rusty Looks like I'll get to try the spl xl for power comparisons in the near future.

I have teammates that run sundown 3500's at .5 on single xl's all day everyday. Do they see all 3500 no and theres no need to go into box rise, voltage etc... we all no the variables to getting all an amp can deliver. One things for certain they see way more than 1k. Again I got nothing but respect for you and your accomplishments so plz dont take it as me attacking you. I'm just shocked that a seasoned competitor such as yourself would attack a company the way you have.

In theory the magnet is impeding alot of air flow off the subs. The xl's motor is smaller and would allow the subs to breath in the box better. Or so I think... lol As far as what kind of power I'm seeing it's between 8500-10k. MY box rise is low around 1.1 but definately could be better. How to shrink box rise? Shrink box interior. Put a 45 in test see if it comes down. If it works seal it in if it doesnt pull it out and try a diff size. Its alot of work but can be achieved. lol
