the carbon fiber could maybe be twice as thick as paper cone and still weigh less.and be stronger than a resined back paper cone and still be and suffer way less flexing under lots of spl im sure you havent been stuck in a hole for the last few years you know that stuff is used for ultralight weight and super stong parts in some of the most demanding situations you can imagine formula1 racing comes to mind just as an example.

so Rusty eats and shits 4in. coils and a shit ton of of motor, i think id wash it off and pay him for it as long as it is the same build quality and he says its loud(got no reason to doubt him i mean no of the other subs are epic fails) . there is no need to be so harsh about it not sure if you have been keeping an eye on the lvl6 but that is absolutly not the basket for the lvl6 (someone can correct me if im wrong but i doubt it) as for the carbon cone i think it was made apparent that there will be extensive testing done before it is offically released just like the rest of the small Quality compinies that want to stay Quality. I may be way off base but i think i remember a loud truck with these a while back hmmmm,and now maybe A nother truck with loud flat pistons . But who knows you may be smarter than the guys that built the sub and have been im sure designing and testing these for a while and if your right hats off to you but i doubt it.

i never got it on the meter but the burban i did with the SD8k and xl 18's with 4 spiders was slammin but reconed to six it was a bit to much.looking at doing something in a tahoe very soon its a installer at the shop what i need is some big power to put through these things.and various other customers of course that are brand whores and dont understand how a sub works. shit when i showed the boss how the voice coil assembly was much better than the 10" hcca we had sittin around he was amazed so the customers dont even have a clue you try to teach them a little about the productthey are about to buy but if it aint a known brand it isnt worth crap i blam it on the chinese but when i get the thaoe some bass and some 15"lvl6's in the shop crx i think they will do the teaching for me :hairtrick:

power difference im not sure but those subs will never take more than a 1k a peice if that. i was gonna even recone the 12's to15's if he wanted.but the xl15 box was built 4cubes+disp 64sq port @33hz 1.5" front back and port walls top and bottom with braced 3/4"sides it does real well i think.my real prob is i just wanna put the smack down on some L7 ass with a lvl3

exaclty as stated in title in the store what would you sell the L7 against as a retail shop trying to compete with the brand whores in the area.mainly a customer that had 3 crap ass q power 15" subs granted a lot of cone with a 1 ohm amp at 1.3 so getting about 1300 from the amp he wanted some trunk back seeing as its a Q45 with the gas tank in the rear its a bad bass car to begin with but i suggested a pair of lvl 3 12's that a guy traded back in to upgrade to a 4xl15 i put the same box that came from the truck droped it in the trunk and let him borrow an amp while his was getting repaired a little less power than he had but bass for the weekend until i could get him a box built on monday and his amp be back the end of the week.he comes back in this afternoon and says he dont want it and kinda bullies the boss into taking back the subs and putting money on an alarm which sucks but he also wants to pick up a pair of L7 15'sfrom his buddy im sorry but i hate L7's there is my delima and my wife didnt get it so help me out here.and to top it all off he has the nerve to tell me that his buddy had these Qpower crap 15's in a seald box that was louder than the 4xl15 tuned at 33hz with about 3k on it in the F150 i just finished thats we i tpld the boss to talk to him cuz he was driving me crazy.

i think the shop crx will house 2 of those 15's just wonderfully.got any idea of power handling on it yet?um bout 6k a peice daily should do?

the first biast opion of this post will be a DC4xl with dual tinsels and 4 spiders will take that power as long as its clean all day in the correct box of course not sure on exact price but contact wcarusty and he can let you know

it will definatly sound loud at 38 but if you like it low go lower tuning.as for box size im doing customers 15xl @4cubes w/3-3.5k @34ish but that sub does have 4 stiff spiders.

thats pretty solid from that amp i was trying to get my shop set up with stetsom but havent heard back from steve (i think thats his name) how many batts do you have on the pair and is that power clamped if so at what rise

i posted this in the sub enclosure section but got no love so i guess ill try here.Customer just ordered xl15 wants to give up the 60% side on the rear seat in a newer i think 07 full 4 door f150.havent had a chance to measure the truck yet (he works out of town) but was hoping some one had experience with one of these trucks as far as sub port placement he is upgrading from 2 lvl3 12's with 1500 to about 3k with rise with 2 die hard group 31 odyssey knock off same specs with 4yr. warranty i think for $239 at your local sears. if anybody has ideas for a 4th order or something tricky as long as i got room for batts and 3 amps will take measurements as soon as he gets home for thanksgiving.my best guess so far i about 4cubes at 34hz with 15-16sq per cube sub and port up or foward any help is appreciated sub is 4xl15 d1 4stiff spideys double woven leads and should see about 3-3.2k

man thats crazy i see it now i guess that what power does.

is that a different spider set up or???? looks like a taller former but that doesnt make sense so im guessing its jus a difference in spiders. but that cone is beautiful is that why less spiders-effiency reasons?

thats gonna be loud how much power doo those amps make?

if im not mistaken the SD is a little more than the stetsom both will do rated power then some as long as the elec. backs it. not positive on size but the stetsom may be a touch larger.just bite the bullet and put an 8k on those subs they can handle it.

ohhh shit now it gets real interesting. has it been done before and if not rusty should patent it.

maybe some basket that went on jenny craig and shaved a few inches in all the right places? guess that doesnt make sense seeing as how its the motor thats too big for the whole so either slightly bigger basket or a slightly smaller motor?

#25 motor its not a neo option is it? just a wild guess?

its a avalanche so a good bit but i dont think he want to give it all up but im pretty sure i got 8-10 cubes total which should be about right.

xl's it is customer needs to man up kick out some more cash and go with 5k but oh well im sure itll still be loud
