Salisbury MD show Oct 24th with some results
-Hobby- replied to Chode69's topic in Competitors Corner
Is Beejay the guy running the Wardens? The yellow car that was at the last US Audio show. I missed his run when I was there and would love to hear that thing in person. -

I tried to get good picts of the inside but they didnt turn out well. He even had flames press seamed into the wheel tubs. All Hand rolled. You can see the ends of the flames on the tubs in the trunk. They go all the way thru to the inside and onto the floor. The sheet metal work in the car was off the hook. -

I think it was Blaupunkt. That was the only real system I saw at the show. Except for the nice fiberglass work it was nothing special. Sounded OK but the sub was sounding funny when it hit. -

My favorite car at the show. I love Camaro's and this one was the nicest one I have ever seen. -
Went down to the Ocean City Fall Hot Rod Show over the weekend. Took a few pictures of some really nice rods. Its was raining a little bit just like the last time I was down there. Still had a pretty good turnout. I had the best time hanging out on Coastal Highway and watching the never ending parade of the beasts cruising up and down the highway all day and night. This dog cracked me up when I saw him on the Boardwalk. Had to take a pict of him and his six shooters. The Rods.

I posted about it in the Car Show section, probably wrong section. Im going and taking my Sons car down there hopefully. Would like to check out your Durango if you make it down there. -
I have a MRD M605 that I would sell for 150.00 shipped. I still cant find the allen head screws to hold down the aluminum face plate but I will get a set from the hardware store if you want it. Used but works 100%, just took it out of the truck to make way for my new system.

My Alpine 9856 and my Son's 9886 both have the "power IC" option. Shuts the amps off and just uses the pre outs. I have my Son's system hooked up that way.

I have my 2 15A's on the way and will be sending my payment for 2 RD 3250v2's on Monday. I cant wait to get my truck bumpin again. I have them set in 3.8 +- cubes each tuned around 39hz.

Ocean City Maryland. 1 1/2 - 2 hours east of Annapolis depending how you drive. Event Information Its right on the boardwalk at the inlet. If the lot fills up there will be 500+ rods parked down there plus all the ones cruising around town. Heres a pict of the Short Bus we caught down there a few years back. Thats my kids wishing that it was the bus they took to school. -

I will be there Saturday all day and probably Sunday. Weather permitting. I have no system to show off yet, just taking the Camaro down for the weekend. All stock so its not even something for a hot rod show. If things go right today I think I have my my subwoofers purchased and should see them in a week or so. Next up....the amps. I may even get to order those by the end of the week. -
Are they wired parallel or in a series?
-
The specs for those subs say single 4ohm vc. 2 subs is either 2ohm or 8ohm. If you have your amp bridged to 4ohm and have the subs wired to 2 you might have a problem right there. I also see they dont recommend any specs for ported enclosures only sealed.

Lacquer thinner or acetone. Then soap and water. Not great for your skin but then I dont wash my hands with it every day. Usually just put some lacquer thinner on a shop rag and wipe the resin off. WD-40 works almost as well.

New Dc Audio Demo Truck (pics)
-Hobby- replied to WCA Rusty's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Definitely a good build to go thru. Gave me a bunch of good ideas what to do with my truck. One more question. How did you go thru that grommet? Just shove it to the side and squeeze the wires thru or did you drill or cut a few holes in it and pass it thru the holes. I can easily shove it thru the side but will have to do something to seal it back up when im done. -

Im heading to OC the 9th - 11th for the car show. Anyone else going down to check out the rods? If we pick a time and place I'll be there. I was at the last US audio show, met Randy, but didnt know if any else from SMD was there.
