A wall sounds cool, I just dunno what's ideal for my vehicle.

Holy crap!!! I need to come find you guys. I'm willing to commute to Jacksonville. I want something that's gonna hurt your chest. I'm not home right now, I'm TAD in VA. My dream would be 4 18's (AQ has nice prices) but I'm a little slow with measurements lol I don't know how much room I'd need for extra batteries, amp racks, etc. That's why I need someone to look at it in person. And I want to do a FULL system upgrade. That's why I said it's gonna take time(military needs to up the pay lol) and my whip is an expedition w/o the 3rd row plenty of room for something, I just need to know what CAN fit. I don't wanna put the carriage before the horse, ya know?

Alright, this is gonna be a long build, and I need an instructor to help me through building my own box. I need someone I can sit down with, and go over every single detail. Watching YouTube videos doesn't help me at all. I'll even pay ya for your time (not too much though, military doesn't pay enough lol) just someone please hit me up. Thanks fellow bassheads. Keep banging.

Are you referring to the aluminum coils? I didn't think the coppers could run on 3krms. Should I break them in with 2 amps, and add the other 2 later? AQ's website says to be careful with power when breaking them in.
-
Well, keep me posted on your progress. I really want 18's, but I just don't have the room:(
-
Thanks. I'm powering them with 2 ap3000's. And I'm not building the box, I have absolutely no experience in the matter. And idea how much space I'll need to make 4 15's happy?
-
Alright, so I've decided to go with audioque. I don't have enough room for 4 18's( need 22 cubic feet net, only have 20) but I dunno whether to just do 2 18's or 4 15's. I want it to be loud and low, so I'm willing to use all my available space. Just want some opinions on the topic. Thanks

Here's an example: a lot of people look at marines like they're crazy, or they are felons, and stuff like that. Now I can admit that we are a little crazy lol but most marines are fairly educated, and just wanna be first in the fight. And I do appreciate all the love and support from you guys. If you really wanna be supportive, send me some 18's lol -
SAZ-4500Ds are here !
marine87 replied to sundownz's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
this may be true, but it takes TEN of these to barely move one 8" funky pup but seriously, this amp is BOSS status. too clean dude -
that's exactly what i want! not trying to be a thread robber, but i want PAIN in my chest more than i do ear wax coming out of my ears. i thought that this would be impossible to achieve, but if it's a SEALED box that can do this.....then i'm tuned in bro. let me know how it goes for ya.

glad you asked. well, i have capacitor( i know, i know) and it tries to stay at 14.4 volts at all times. with the cap pulling and the alternator off, i'd say not many volts from the battery at all. i'll find someone to jump me, and i'll just cruise around a bit with my wife. even she said i was stupid for not turning the truck on lol
-
alright, no one bash me on this one. i'm sensitive lol. but anyways, i just recently purchased a Kirby Vacuum (i think thats how you spell it lol) and i went to try it out on the interior of my truck. it works wonderfully, but this wasnt the mistake. i was playing some music from my truck without turning my truck ON. you know how you can turn the key a few clicks, and all the electrical cuts on? that's what i did. so, without paying any attention, this music playing goes on for like a half hour. when i finish cleaning up, a banging song by gucci mane came up, and i cranked it FULL TILT. three seconds later, everything shut off, and came back on. unsure of what just happened, i take the key out of the ignition ( i thought i blew a fuse or something, but then it occured to me that the just the subs would have cut off.) so now i'm really freaking out. i try to crank up my truck, and no dice.the lights and interior and stuff like that still come on, but the truck wont start up. my battery light is on, and meter is leaning towards the low side. is there anything i can do BESIDES buy a new battery? like leave it alone for a while or something? or am i just SOL? any advice would help. thanks.

can no one help me? -
Not again.
marine87 replied to k3n12ock's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
x2 man you really have to listen to your sub bro. make sure it doesnt sound "grainy" when playing at a loud volume. and i would definately try an external eq, because the head unit could be sending a distorted signal to your speaker. the dmm would tell you if it's your amp sending a clipped signal, so i'd do that too. you have a lot of options here, just take your time and troubleshoot it. -
maybe you're putting the carriage before the horse here... decide on the vehicle first, that way we can give our opinions on what would sound better in that specific vehicle. not trying to bash on ya or anything, but it would help us help you in the long run.

hey all, i need some help. i plan on upgrading my system to 4 audioque hdc3 18's, but before i do that, i gotta stop my truck from rattling. right now i have 2 jl 13w3's, and my back hatch rumbles like it has an attitude lol. so, i was considering a shop pack of the damplifier pro,but i dunno if this will get the job done for my expedition. i was also considering buying some of the luxury liner in addition to damplifier, but i don't know if that would be overkill. anyone with a large suv that has used this stuff before, please help out a fellow basshead lol thanks.

marine87 replied to Bluebrindle's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
i say 18's FTW and subs up port back is the best for that vehicle. just be sure you know what you're doing when you recone them.
