  1. SO after buimpin around for almost a year i realized my port area was WAAAAAAYY too small. Im having a few issues due to the way this box has to be built. Its sub up and the port shoots up through the rear deck of my car, because of this my options for my port is pretty restricted. Gross volume: 6.24ft^2 Port volume 1.00ft^2 Net volume 4.57ft^2 basically using torres' calc im getting a port area range of 55-73in^2, but to make the box fit my trunk im needing to go with 80in^2... Is this a problem? the other thing im concerned about is the fact that the port area per foot seems high, its 17.49in^2 Too much? The tuning freq ends up being 36.49hz, which is a littler higher than i would have liked, but im not overly concerned with that.
  2. the girls were kinda sexy though... lol. EDIT: BumpinTL364 beat me to it, lol. my point still stands though
  3. I mean I understand what your trying to say... But I feel like there is more to it than that, lol. Got a DD1 coming for Xmas, so I'm excited either way, lol.
  4. Man, I had a 10" version of this sub. Whoever picks this up will love it! Sorry for the post dump, but no one ever talks about these subs.
  5. Sound check does work when the device is hooked up via USB. The EQ settings work, sound check probably does too.
  6. Sold! Will ship within 2 days! Thanks man
  7. I sent you a PM on caco earlier hellbound, sent from my phone so maybe it didn't work. I work 2nd shift so it's hard, my bad. Hellbound has dibs. PayPal is [email protected] Edit: you got it for your offer of $145
  8. This was in my grandfathers car, he got a new car and didn't feel like putting it in. "used" for about a year. Comes with: Face plate case wiring harness remote iPod cable and yes, I do have the trim ring, just not in the picture. 9/10 just because its not brand new, that's the only reason Asking $150 shipped to the 48 states. Can't do trades. Grandpa expects cash for it =[ lol
  9. Thanks ram! Looks like vector was bought out by black and decker. One thing I don't understand is that it is nearly impossible to find the voltage that the chargers actually charge at, they just say 12v.. Also, why is 15amp necessary as apposed to a lower one, or something like 20 amps?
  10. Looking forward to your after charge update! Thanks man!
  11. That die hard has pretty bad ratings, but it's specs look decent. Does it charge under 14.5 v when charging at 15 amps? Also I have multiple batteries, I'm assuming you do as well?
  12. I have two XS power 2700's in my car currently, and I need a charger to keep them up so I don't ruin them. Money is really tight right now so I can't afford the 200$ XS intellicharger. I was looking at these 2: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H961YI?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1 And http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-021-0156-Charger-Model/dp/B000NCOKQK/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1320219486&sr=1-2 Will either of these work? And if not, can you recommend one? Eventually I will be adding another 2700, but for a long while it will just be the 2 batteries. Edit: like the first one cuz I can use it on my motorcycle as well
  13. Thanks boss. I'm sure you will make an announcement when you have one
  14. Sorry if it's asked all the time, but I know alot of us are waiting Any eta?
  15. Power from the HU to a cheap on/off switch, then run the switch to the battery positive. Negative to the negative battery terminal... Pretty simple really. Just gotta keep the battery charged and not run more than a few hundred watts.
  16. I listen to every kind of music imaginable. If i like it, I listen to it. I work with a few people who are extremely genre biased, they are terrible to work with. I just can't spend an ENTIRE day listening to country music.
  17. I Currently have a set of the old model 6.5" RF power components up frontI. Im looking for multiple speakers in each door. louder and better for around 600 bucks.
  18. ya, nothing wrong with that. just look at the frequency response range of the neo-8 and the super tweeters. pro drivers are made to work as a midrange at the cost of midbass so they might not sound terrible. im personally not a fan of pro drivers so you might ignore my bias. I would love to go for sound quality, but it's just not in the budget any time soon. Thanks for your input though! Still hoping someone can tell me what the amp does at 8ohms though Also, I have never had a NICE crossover like the DQX. I would have no problem band passing the mid bass from 100hz-300hz, band passing the midranges from 300hz-3Khz, and high passing the tweets 3Khz and up? The user manual for the thing only shows set ups where the sub amp is controlled through the DQX
  19. Well maybe you can help me reconsider my plans than. My plan was to get 4 sundown neo pro 8's. Just run them at 8ohms off the 175.4 I already have 4 crescendo super tweets and a mb quart onyx 4.60 to power them. For crossover im getting the audio control DQX I wouldn't mind running one 8" mid-bass per door, and two 6" mid ranges per door. But running a 3 way front stage turns into too much $$ needed to be spent on a crossover. Unless it would be okay for me to let my sub amp handle the lowpass for the subs, and have the DQX run mid-bass/mid-range/tweets
  20. if you bridged your 8's it would only be 175 watts per speaker. 175 watts for midbass is feasible. there's plenty of options out there. My bad, the amp does 500rmsx2 at 4ohms bridged... Each speaker would need to handle ~250w rms. Also it's mid-range drivers I'm looking for, not mid bass
  21. Pretty basic question, lol. What's it put out at 8 ohms? Looking to power four 8" midrange speakers with it, but having a hard time finding speakers that can handle it's power. I would bridge the channels and run two 8ohm speakers per bridge, but finding 8" midranges that can take 250rms each is not possible, lol. And finding a 4ohm speaker than can handle 175rms is just as hard. So yeah, how much power at 8ohms? Or recommend 4 speakers for me that can handle the amp at 4 ohms. Thanks
  22. What you are seeing is a higher % of the total ownership of the brands like Sundown, DC, and AQ on the forums -- you always hear from 100% of unhappy customers but only 1% of happy customers For every 1 problem you read about on the forum there are 99 other guys with their amps running around every day with no issues at all. Good answer, makes sense to me! Also, considering most people on here run their amps at the lowest ohm load possible (.5-1 ohm) as apposed to the guy who buys and has his stuff installed at best buy running an amp at 4ohms. A lower ohm load is generally going to create more heat, right?
