  7. I was wondering with all the head units that have come out can you run IASCA SQI or SQC without having a cd player in your install. My old cd player is having problems. I would rather buy a new unit without a cd player in it to avoid this from happening all together in the future. thanks for any help
  8. again no DRL's and the relay kit is already put in did it when i first put them in and its not flicker on start up i understand that the bulb has to warm up its when they are on they have this weird twinkling to them its just annoying they work fine and look good and dont shut off just wired and my low beams dont do this

  10. Sorry guys I don't know where to post this but I need some help. So real quick rundown of the install i ordered my low beam set from one company which was total plug and play and they work great. However we broke one of the bulbs while putting it in and it wouldn't stay in the housing. So I ordered a new set of bulbs for my low beams, my high beam kit and a relay kit from another company cause it was cheaper with them maybe know I why. Anyway swapped out the low beam bulbs and they still work great. I put in the high beam kit with the relay kit which I modded to be full plug and play by buying a 9005 plug from Autozone so I didn't have to tap anything except for the connections at the battery and they work but they flicker. I don't mean turn on and off they have this weird flicker to them they stay on and work but they look like stars twinkling its weird. The only difference in the kits are the ballast and the fact that the high beams are 55w vs the low beam which is 35w. Oh and the low beams are in a projector housing and the high beams aren't if that matters at all i dont know it it does. I don't know why its doing this I think its the ballast cause that is the only thing that differs between the two kits but how could they both be bad and causing the same problem. Any help would be great guys I have pics of the install if you would like them. But it will take forever to up load cause they are hi res photos. Thanks again for any help. Low beam kit came from here- http://www.hid-light.com/ High beam kit. low beam replacement bulbs and relay kit came from here- http://www.hidgeeks.com/ edit- spelling
  11. yeah my concern came when they said that they spike when first turned on at 12-15 amps and my stock fuses are only 10 for each lamp
  12. cool im gonna do the relay harness on my high beams when i do my 4300 or 5000 55 watt kit but i didnt wanna screw up my new car its already been through the wringer as it is
  13. Hey guys I just got my new HID light kit and im gonna put it in tomorrow but all the websites say you need a relay off the battery to make it work right or you will burn up your factory switch and fuses. My question is why are they plug and play if that could occur should I be concerned about this or am I worrying over nothing. Car is in sig and the hid kit is a 35w 6k h11 bulb type for my low beam. edit spelling

  21. Hi Nathan I made the post a few days ago about the 2nd battery just wondering as i have decided on the d680. However my front battery is an optima yellow top will this cause any problems using the 680 as the 2nd battery. I bought the optima less than a few months ago and i never really used it and I dont wanna give up a new battery. I wanna put a d2400 under the hood but I dont have the money for that. Will the optima and the 680 be ok together. Thanks for the help in advance.
