Ok so my friend and I were curious about the laws in our state (North Carolina) for speeding....we came across this.... "A person who drives a vehicle on a highway at a speed that is either more than 15 miles per hour more than the speed limit established by law for the highway where the offense occurred or over 80 miles per hour is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor." There is a 70mph speed limit road on the way to the outer banks that I drive on. The case is, if you are going 81 on that road. I think its obvious that you can get one for that speed on that road. But my friend keeps adamantly saying you have to be going 85 on that road to be liable. I asked every1 in my house and they all said I was right but its still not enough for him. Please respond.

I will know in 14 days whether I am going to UNC. I have been accepted to every other school I have applied to, but this one is a tough one...I really want to go there for undergrad. Shooting after chemistry/biochemistry...and basically doing pre-dentistry without being in a pre-dentistry program. Everyone thinks I am weird for wanting to be a dentist my entire life, but I can't wait for dental school!!! Anyway, if what you want to do requires school suck it up and do it!!! I don't really want to be in college for 8 years (plus 3 to specialize) But I want to do dentistry, and I know it would be worth it!! Here is something I have thought about on another aspect of this thread. Lets say another job that I would "love"... Flight instructor. I love flying and do it on a regular basis...my flight instructor told me he makes basically what a teacher makes. Now we can balance that out and say probably $30,000. From reading a lot about dentistry and having a family that's deeply embedded into it I can tell you a, lets say, orthodontist. Could make $300,000 a year, while being his own boss and making his own hours. So if you want to think of it like that you could work 5 years as an orthodontist, and then retire, and have the same as working amount of money as a flight instructor for 50 years.

I think it is more because of the superiority (number wise) of the automatic than the manual....but still its all BS.

Thought it might be an interesting discussion. The 458 italia will not have the option to be manual. Instead you will have a 7-speed dual clutch automatic (paddles). There is a very good chance that Ferrari will never go back to the good old gated manual trans on any cars. While the paddles are seamless and faster, it takes something away from the whole entire experience. Now I know that more Ferraris (599,430 etc) are sold as autos than manuals now...But I think that taking the option away from the guys who want to be more involved is a horrible mistake. What do you guys think?

So today was pretty epic. Met up with some of a local Italian car club at 8 this morning. Cruising down I40 on a hour drive in a line with 3 Ferraris and a Z06 going 80-90 the whole way is pretty crazy. Got to Foreign Cars Italia(Ferrari/maser/anything supercarish dealer) and had a great time, while eating the entire catered breakfast by chick-fil-a. Got to listen to a licensed Ferrari technician go over a lot of maintenance stuff about Ferraris. Then any1 who had a Ferrari could get it checked out free..so I got to stand in the service dept. with a few f430s, 360s a Carerra GT and check out all the engines and what not. Then went out to lunch with all the guys to an awesome Italian restaurant and got an amazing caesar salad with grilled chicken. Then went back to the dealership and got a ride in a Ferrari California. Then went to cookout and got a chocolate milkshake with my buddy, then came home. EPIC day.

Radar detectors are fine, and I have a scanner in my car a lot of time too, but I use it for airplanes, I don't think they are illegal, or I have never heard that before.

So 2 days ago I was driving with a friend to a nearby car dealer (exotics) because we both got new cameras for Christmas. I was going down one of those, really wide, really straight country roads that the speed limit should be 70 on. I was going I am guessing 65 in a 55. All of a sudden my $35 whistler started beeping at me. It has never really gone off when I have passed a cop along the road before so I didn't even know if it worked. I was going through a section of small little hills, and the intensity would go up and down. All of a sudden I was 5/6 up one of the hills and the thing screamed bloody murder and a state trooper popped over the hill in the other lane. I was going 54 at this point so I was fine, but the cop made eye contact with me, and I swear he looked down at the radar detector. About a minute later it started faintly going off and the fucker had turned around and was creeping a decent way back trying to catch me speeding...but of course like a smart person I was now cruising at the speed limit. He eventually just turned back around, but I was getting ready to just grab a back road (I had enough room between us) or pull off at a gas station. I have heard bad stories of cops getting pissed then following you til you do something wrong for a ticket. Anyway, I just wanted to know how you guys would suggest me hiding my detector better. Right now its got a little strip of Velcro nestled up in the drivers side corner of my dashboard. I am going to put some electrical tape over the screen and lights since that's probably what he saw. But very happy that $35 may have saved me from a ticket and I assume many more, great buy. On another note, we got to the car place really early, and the sales guy that greeted us seemed to really appreciate it when I told him we got there early to avoid getting in their way. Turns out he is the VP of the Ferrari Club of America (NC) and is going to take us out for a ride/drive in a California.

I will definitely trust that Antec power supply because I ran one for so long flawless. I also don't really want to buy a very expensive video card because I would have to get a bigger power supply... So I guess my questions now are: Will it be extremely hard to get that mobo into that case, and if I was to upgrade to a card like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814133304 would I need a bigger PSU?
