actually the ones he has i think are 250/300 watts RMS. and for the price (he got em off ebay...30 shipped for each) and a pre fab box (he wants to wait for me to build one) and wow...they are impressive. impressive enough to where i'd feel confident myself if i ran some MA products. especially their higher end things.
MA audio is not a bad sounding brand imo. my friend has a pair of 12's running off an MA amp i sold him. the right enclosure and i think it'll definitely be an upgrade to what you have now. he refuses to like any other brand other than kicker, but he's in love with his now
EDIT: yeah i'd check into a somewhat stronger amp as they are overrated. and check carefully...some of their products are rated at 17 volts. the amp i had was 3000 watts @ 17 volts, but like...1200 @ 14.4
try a flea market? around here they have a stand or two or three that'll do em. and there's actually a few shops around here that'll make some. in a few strip malls and such
it usually gets cold here in kentucky. but lately it's been nice. like...60 degrees today. so it's nice. and sorry you can have your thread back now
yeah...get me an i pod
the square subs = more cone area = louder, BUT also...the square subs arent as linear, so the sound gets a little more distorted than round subs. if i read that info right. i used to have an 18" solo x. it was more of a hassle than anything. it was beefy and cool at first, but you wont have fun taking it in and out of the box. plus i hear they have some internal problems. so i'd pick the L7 or the BTL imo
hell yes it is!! like seriously...i did a mini hair trick the other day just tryin it out, and damn song keep skippin n shit, then goes back to the beginning of the song lol, plays some notes, skips, then goes to another track lol.
yeah people just diss what they dont have/understand. and yeah bass is bass, they can think the van is louder and all, but they dont gotta diss someones skill and whatnot. yeah i think the van looked pimp as hell, lights and plexi and all that. but steve's would be louder and he does know what he's talkin about
duh that's fucked up. i tried to leave a comment under yours, but it left it somewhere else. it's like those people leaving comments are comparing apples to oranges. a walled off lanzar van with 2 seats compared to an suv with all 4 seats and no wall and daily driven. people are so ignorant...
i wish i knew how to weld. seriously...is it really that hard? i'd say i'm somewhat handy, and i can solder and all that stuff. is it similar to soldering? just on a much bigger scale with the metal and how you're using it? my only problem is i cant get ahold of a welder to learn
22 bucks can get the sheed of wood you'd need. i'd go square/slot port. you can use the same wood so you wont have to buy extra pieces. home depot does a couple cuts for free i believe, then maybe charges for each additional cut? not 100% sure on that. i could build the box if you are unsure how. just pay for the materials and shipping.
i've thought about that, but i dont trust their cuts. such a big maching, and they just line it up. i've had em be a little off when they cut mine in half. a little bigger would be ok cuz you can sand it down, but too small and it's a no go
yeah he'll get the tuning and dimensions for ya. or if you have the dimensions, he'll get you the tuning you want. and make a 3d model if you want him to. you might be able to find someone on here to make you a box. i'm makin one for cartunez2004 when he gets me the dimensions
