Has anybody at xs power installed batteries into a modern bmw? This is what im hearing from various bmw forums The DME controls charging voltage on nearly all modern cars. As the battery ages, the alternator output voltage is increased by the DME to help charge an old battery. If you do not register the new battery in the DME, it can overcharge a new battery and kill it within weeks or months. I have heard lots of people run non bmw batteries without registering and have no had a problem. but others say you should not do it. i wanted 3 d3100's but im worried i might damage them.

Guy local to me has 2 aa mayhem 18s for sale... was plaaning on 4 15s but these 18s will work out way cheaper and would be powerd by a pair of sundown 3500s Would be low tuned no higher than 30hz, i have had 2 15s on 2 3500s before in the trunk it got loud but you know you always want it louderm this time i want to get it done properly 1st time round and now think dam its not loud enough will 2 18s on 7k WALLED get down?

This... you have no port, just a hole....seriosly dude you need to caculate a port to tune your box, it WILL sound 100 times better. with no port your subs have pretty much no dampning what so ever, as said you just have a big leaky sealed box from the dimensions you have you have a 32 cube box. you port area is way way way to small for you box a port 10x20 and 7" deep will tune you to 30hz and you box will sound a million times better, other than that nice subs and you did a good job on the rest of the box

I hear alot of guys is some big installs say its hard to breathe inside, i was just wondering what sort of system do you need to be able to do this as a bare minimun?

This is what i was thinking..... :hairtrick: Its a very cool install and props for fitting it in a smart car and im sure its loud but just goes to show how diffrent cars can throw up diffrent numbers.... The box and port are so close to the termlab in this install especialy if your testing at the headrest the termlab must be litteraly in the port! this is what makes the scores high. im sure if i put the termlab in the port in my trunk i could do 150's easy of a couple of k :hairtrick:

I have never heard a wall my self only flat bed boxes alot of people say flatbed boxes sound better than walls. is this true and how much diffrent are we talking im considering a wall but the sq issues are putting me off.

its a chevy blazer can get a nice and easy 16cft with room for a few batteries too.

Im thinking about doing 4 15s and 12k in the trunk steve meade style but obviously a baby version of his set up I was wondering if this had been done before as i would love to check out the builds and videos if possible. cheers guys

Sup guys im running 2 12" fi btls in 5.5cft tuned to 30hz 3.000 watts up each sub. hits pretty nice but i want to upgrade and use all the trunk space i could do 4 15" btls in 18cft tuned to 30hz with 2.5k up each one. do you think i will see a big gain?

i tried auda city what i did was low pass filterd the song so i was just left with the bass line then changed the pitch which seemed to work but it made the bass notes very choppy sounded like my subs where popping any idea what would cause that? i tried lots of time with diffrent songs and always get the same effect!

Anyone know any program i could use to lower the frequency of the bass in a song without slowing it down ie the song sounds normal but the bass line is a lower frequency for example say i have a tune with 50hz and 40hz bass how could i change the 50hz note to 40hz and the 40hz note to 30hz for example? i have lots of tune that i love but they have hella high shitty bass. im willing to pay for an expensive audio program if i can can it.

Hey guys, Im after some examples of walled cars with 2 18s and around 6k of power. i have 2 x 3krms at 1 ohm and im thinking i should do a wall with 2 18s. i have found a couple of installs on here. but obviosly if one of you has such a system i havent spotted yet or know of one you could link too vids would be nice. id much appriciate it!
