I was unaware that there were experience requirements for subwoofers. There arent, but if you gotta ask about ohm load, you dont need to be buying or talking about these multi-thousand watt systems... Everyone has to start off somewhere, but don't go biting off more than you can chew... Thank you for putting it in nicer terms for me.

Install a volt meter, run it directly off of your amplifier, and just watch your voltage. If you notice a big drop, then lay off of it and try to upgrade your stock battery.

No offense, but if you're asking about wiring ohm loads, you shouldn't be buying TSNS woofers.

Yeah I noticed that too. Thank god. Just wondering, say I have an 80 volt alt. Or whatever they call it. Like Watts, Volts, whatever it is for an alt. Say its 80. And the 2 Sundown Audio SA-12's with the AQ1200D. What do you think my voltage drop would be? Alternators are measured in amps. Or amperage. Just to give you a general idea, I was running an AQ1200 off my stock 8O amp alt, stock batt, and big 3 in 1/0, I dropped to 13 volts at idle. And mauiwowie, lolumad.

May I ask what subs you're using. Along with the rms rating.

I would go AQ. Plus, the clipping indicator on the gain knob is an automatic point

I honestly hope he takes kranny's advice. I hate seeing people tell others to run systems at lower ohm loads "cuz you gets moar watts."

Did anyone else notice this? Why the hell are you telling him the AQ can run .5 daily? He clearly stated he has a budget, and in order to run ANY amp at .5 ohm daily, you've got to have a beefy electrical. This is another example of noobs giving noobs dumbass advice. OP, yes AQ will give you cleaner power, but PLEASE, don't listen to the post stated above. At your experience, I wouldn't run any amp at .5 ohm. Not being a dick, just giving you precious advice.

ehh around there. its hard to set it on the spot because the knob doesn't list every number from 15 - 40. it only gives you 15 & 40. so i would set it about halfway. maybe a little less.

Well, ya. if your subsonic is set too low, you're able to bottom out the subs. which is bad. general rule of thumb is to set it 3-5 hz lower than your tuning.

Ok, a little update here. I started my car up this morning, 14.7, but i didnt slam cuz i was in the neighborhood the whole time. Checked all my connections, everythings tight. Hopefully when i buy the HO alt from cc_audio, i'll keep a higher, steadier voltage.

Nope. But my front batt is reading 12.3 and my rear batts are reading 12.5 Thats decent, correct?

Hi everybody! (dr. nick voice) Ok long story short, i'm running an 8O amp stock alt, stock front batt, and 2 kinetik HC2000's in the back. Being powered by them is an SAZ-1500D @ 1ohm. I've always had good voltage at idle, 14.1 - 14.4, but lately, my voltage has been around 13.5, and when i run full tilt, i drop to 12.6. And when i bring up the rpm's, my voltage doesnt change. I went into autozone today to get a load test put on my alt, but they refused because it was raining Anyway, got home, left the car running, and took off the "+" terminal on my battery, and the car still ran. So my alt isn't dead, atleast not yet. Can anyone think why my voltage is so shitty?

Depending on your old box design. You would be much louder with the 4 12's. Cone is king, if done correctly.

I watched a couple others and i wasn't impressed. this is the only one that made me laugh.
