Ya i can tell you how to mod an amp to "do .5", wire dual 1 ohm coils in parallel. There. Do i recommend it? No. Because to be completely honest without trying to sound like a dick, you're probably running a a stock battery with a 100 amp alt. Which will NOT support a .5 ohm load. Especially on anything over a 500 watt rms amp@ 1ohm.

No. Do NOT use 4 guage for a 2500.1 do a run of 0 gauge from front to back battery. 4 gauge is rated for a maximum of i think 150 amps. (correct me if im wrong). do it right and use 0 gauge please.

I know you just spent a shit ton on that beautiful lvl5. but dont forget about your electrical aswell. i would suggest a bigger front battery (XS power or Kinetik) and something better for a rear batt then a yellow top. That should take care of your kicker pretty well. that sub will love the 2500.1 but one question, you DID get D1 ohm coils, right?

Thanks john. i actually learned that to reset the code without scrambling the ecu, i have to pull a certain fuse and wait about a minute. but i'll look for certain burnt up distributor wires. thanks for the heads up.

He's jumped two pins before to clear it, but i dont think he jumped the right pins. Which fuses could affect the car not starting? i could only think that we blew the ecu fuse or the whole ecu for that matter. @skittles, no we removed the jumper.

Ok, long story short, i was trying to reset my check engine light yesterday so my car could hopefully pass smog. I disconnected the negative terminal and let the car reset. That didnt work. So my dad took a paper clip, and jumped two prongs insider of the diagnosis box, the light went off, but when i went to start my car, it didnt fire. It turns over, i'm just not getting a spark from the plugs. and before any of you ask, its not a battery problem, and the car was fine before he jumped the two prongs. anyone here a mechanic?
