    What do you need? You don't build a box around the ports, you build the box, and port, to the sub. Please don't say you have two 4" aero ports 8" long and thats all you can use.

    Been sanding all day off and on. Started with 120, then 320. Gonna finish up with 600. Pretty smooth already after the 320. I didn't realize AutoZone has sand paper up to 2000 grit!!!

    Thats what I think, too. But the doubled up speaker wire is messing with my logic.

    Lowes only has up to 220.

    If you wire a d2 sub like my diagram, will the amp see 1ohm or .5ohm? Both sub pos to a bolt, both neg to a bolt. Then 2 wires from each of them to the parallel inputs on the amp.

    Would laying a layer of resin be better? Like a very thin coat, then sand that down?

    I am going to sand my port as smooth as possible (without filler or resin). I have 80, 120, and 220 grit sand paper. The birch is fairly smooth to begin with, should I use all 3 grits? Or just jump to the 220?
