I'd think it would work with SA8's that don't actually require any airspace more than needed to fit the motor, they are quite beefy in that department though so dimensionwise it might be tight unless they would be somehow staggered....Tahoes have a wider transmission tunnel compared to the explorer, so it should be possible

I do however agree on getting more airspace for the sub....this box is also pretty much a trunk set up - but needs much less power to get loud and digs lower

I heard that setup...it was great on house, d&b and various types of dance music - hit really crisp and tight....when standing beside it, with the trunk open it was very much like being in a club next to the speaker...that was his own box as well (and in the vid one or two subs are wired out of phase) He went ported though...my guys built him a slot ported box in the same fashion...it's really tight on airspace and port area, but he wanted it to be as small as possible... the set up hit's 148+ on music now (two dd m3's @2ohm) here are some pics and a test vid of the system warming up at 40-50%

what I actually said is "pretty good for you perfect daily\SQ type DRIVER" referring to the SA12 being a daily sub more so than anything specifically designed for SPL output...evethough it does that quite well...the set up is pure SPL of course as stated in the begining of the post didn't mean to cofuse anyone LOL

Thanks!! long-ass port happens...it won't fit...or we gotta add more box volume or decrease port area - all that drops the score obviously....it can be tuned to around the car's peak with a 6" port but the score was much lower (as in - yeah he tried that)

it meters higher that way this particular car has a very pronounced peak...it will peak at 56 irrespective of how you tune the box.... 73 is just where it ended up with the box volume vs port area

I've decided to save you guys from the usual on-line translator description fail and post this myself The car is yet another 4-door, small, Russian hatchback this system is being run on just two 75ah BlueTop Optimas - car is off as there's no wiring...voltage drops from 12.6 to 10.8 on the burp sub - one SA12d2 in about 1.5 cubes, 8" flared port. tuned to about 73Hz amp - one SAZ3500D @1ohm car peaks at 56, so burps were done at 56-57 on to the pics Pretty good for you perfect daily\SQ driver, eh? well get more done tomorrow and will probably take a vid or two the meter is the Russian SPL-meter which uses the same sensor as the TL and is calibirated within 0.1db of the TL PS - this is all sealed with the meter on the dash\windshield dbdrag style
