  1. yeah, that's a better way of wording it ...as far as hairtricks in Russia go - this one's legit.... but we can do better - we'll see what happens with moah powa
  2. Nah, it's just a huge ported box it almost pulls-off a haitrick too....the vids a little dark, so.... I gotta get him to take some better vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsMIPaOVHGs
  3. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/82090-mitsubishi-pajero-teamsundown-russia/ check here
  4. moves some good air for one sub and the amp being at 2ohms
  5. yah, it did, I was wondering when someone would catch that the radius thing is kinda time-consuming and depending on the pipe material can be tricky - some are quite brittle even when heatd. but it's cheaper than importing Precision Ports LOL
  6. Ok, here's another one from Team Sundown Russia - took first at a local IASCA comp on the 19th of June sub - Sundown Z18 v.2 d1 amps - two budget monoamps putting out about 1000watts each 150.3 sealed at the dash on the TL Pay no attention to the dates in the pics, the camera was set wrong, this is 2010
  7. well, here's one for two 12's ....it's actually a box that was in the cargo area of a larger SUV that was set upright and somwhat sealed off in this ride
  8. I'm not sure, I'll ask the owner...doesn't seem to be heatshrink
  9. Ok, I played around with the vid and cut it down just to 5 minutes - walkaround of the car and system and the runs with the score towards the end.....still 5+ minutes so might bore some
  10. youtube fail argggghh ...let me see if I can edit it to make it shorter here's a download link for those who want to see it faster http://ifolder.ru/18321192
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0lgV9opd-Q ok, here's the vid from the comp...it's huge as it pretty much covers the whole show...it's still processing as well The red Subaru wagon gets into the lanes at about half-way through the vid
  12. ok, just got word from the IASCA event in Chelyabinsk - the score is official, Evgeniy took 1st in IDBL Stock 1-160 posting a record ( in Russia) 153.4 db's ...Much respect to him for his hard work and due acomplishment. And that's another win for Sundown Audio I should have a vid of the run when the guys get back home
  13. More good news from Team Sundow Russia!!! Had to share this... the car belongs to Evgeniy Naumkin who's a regular competitor in local SPL comps. He currently holds the national record in IASCA Stock 1-160 with 152.8 with his old setup. In his quest to break 153 he got a Sundown Audio z12 v.2 d1 sub to replace his well worn Soundstream SPLX. This is his old setup - a quick rundown of the system: 2006 Subaru Impreza Wagon sub - one Sundown z12 v.2 d1 with NS cone and spiders amp - Stetsom 9k2d batts - Hawker 300 under the hood and 400 in the back just one run of + and - 0awg (as per IASCA Stock rules) Getting the woofer - gotta have decals and the t-shirt teh sub next to the old woofa shopping for new ports (4") need flares? burp...xcuse me BUUUUURRRRRRPPPP!!!! ......and the high score this is all TL, sealed up and with the mic in the standard db drag location He's currently preparing for a local IASCA comp scheduled for this Saturday, so time pending he will drop a vid of the action and maybe some more pics. In any case we should have a vid of his run at the comp after the weekend's over Sundown FTW!!!!
  14. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/80964-z-v2-back-in-stock/ - they are available
  15. No, they are definately not the z15 listed on the site...or even related...all-new motor on these babies
  16. Dodge Nitro? it's a bit on the small side, but you don't see em that often
  17. Overall, the SA12 digs lower, sounds better and is just way tougher in a daily application compared to a type R...Alpine makes some good subs and teh type-R was my first sub several years ago (followed by an Fi BL15 and numerous TC Sounds subs), and while it holds it's own and has it's share of fans and satisfied users, the SA12 is just on another level in my opinion
  18. No problems, I understand how these things are. I was talking about Russian Standard Vodka that has a direct relationship to a consumer finance bank with the same name (minus the vodka part ofcourse) Sorry for the threadjack there.
  19. dang, sometimes things just don't quite line up...yet so close collections? I work for a large consumer finance bank, so I know a bit about collections ...eventhough I'm on the finance side of things.....you wouldn't by chance be working for a certain institution that also has a world famous Vodka brand?
  20. get a good AGM bat by the amp and you should be good
  21. I haven't been to Ukraine in over 20 years....might be a good idea to get big SPL Comp\Open-air staged in Chernobyl..hmmm Depending on when you are in St Petes, keep in mind that we're doing as SQ\SPL event there on the 21st of August, so myself and a good part of Team Sundown Russia will be there for at least 3 days what's your trade if you don't mind me asking?
  22. Congrats! drop by Moscow when you get the chance, it's not that far even though it's a different country we got some small cars here too LOL
  23. Sealed SA8 doesn't really require any significant volume. Jacob himself said - use just enough volume to fit the magnet and a couple of inches behind for airflow (not the exact quote, but something to that effect)...this has also shown to be true in our testing. I'll try to get some pics up so you can get the idea better - my guys just did a center counsole for Ford Explorer that has a sealed SA8 in it. we also have a guy running these as woofers in a 3-way active front - he is quite happy with the performance bieng primarly SQ-oriented at that
