I'm jealous. I want a shirt signed by the big man. Maybe when I get my recone's I'll ask for the dustcaps to be signed.
-
I would also recommend the AQ. A friend has 4 18's and they sound fantastic.

To be honest, I would run an XL if I were you, I know a few people that have went from Lvl 5's to XL's and have gotten louder doing so. I'd probably also do a 12 if I were you, just because you only need 1.5 cubes ported. If you want a wall though, then I'd do a 15. -

What do you want to put in your car? Is it what's in your sig, or something bigger? -

It is now CA glued, lasting quite well. Also, I would j00bles, but I have no idea how to recone a sub, and i'm not sure if I want to spend the money on it, or just wait til i but my 4 XL's and go that route. If I decide by tonight though that I want to, I'll let you know, and thanks for the offer. -

I'm contemplating it, but I kinda just want to wait and save the money so that I can buy 4 xl 12's or 15's for the bed of my truck. I already know i'm going to eventually, just looks like it might need to happen sooner rather than later. -

And, I know that the duct taping doesn't look that good, and it's coming off already because I didn't tape it very well, but it works for now. -
Last night I found out that one of my DC lvl 3 "Hybrid's" had a hole worn through in the surround. I was REALLY depressed, but then I remembered, thorshammer and the Frankenwoofer. So I taped it. So far only with electrical tape, until I go search for the duct tape that is hidden somewhere in my garage. I'll post pics later, seeing as I'm at school waiting for class to start right now.

My step mom runs a ported box for 2 lvl 3 12's and they play metal VERY well... still to hear rap, but the box is made mostly for metal anyways, as that is pretty much all she listens to...

I love mine sealed! 2 lvl 3 10's. May not be loud on the meter(maybe because i'm only running a SAE 1000D on them and because it's behind the seat in an s10), but they SOUND loud, the lows flex a lot, and they play very well on rap, death metal, classic rock, you name it.

I don't know if this is what you want... But try this... http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp#por It should have a round port calculator on it... And possibly use this... http://www.carstereo.com/help2/Articles.cfm?id=31 the bottom one should be right... make sure to mark round...

DC 8 Vid added page 4
J-Squared replied to thorshammer's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
I'm gonna have to buy a couple or 32 of these if I can ever afford it... Anyways! Now I can go back to 8's, I used to love my Sundown E8's and now I'm gonna love DC 8's! Good job sneaking that one in also Rusty. Expected to see it eventually, but that was a big, welcomed surprise... -
I love DC lvl 3's... they may not be outrageously loud, but they can make your car flex and are pretty cheap for what you get...

Great DC turnout at Omaha's Comp

I didn't mean that... sorry. I was trying to say a true battle was DC vs. Sundown, since they are both awesome. -

Skittles, I uploaded, videos that are probably worse than you have, so you might as well post up. I was going to video you as well, but my dad had the camera the first time, and then after that I think I had left it in my truck. There were a lot of people I wish I would have filmed in retrospect, but oh well... I know J00bles posted Bills v. Eric B. A true battle, DC v. Sundown... J00bles may have added a few more videos, I'm not sure though, just check his youtube page. His name is J00bles on there as well. -

Here is the link to the scores. http://midwestspl.com/POINTS/2010/stereo%20west%20auto%20toys%20sept.pdf Here is Eric B... I know he's running Sundown, but oh well. Here's Bills' 157... Sorry for the crap quality... I wanted to get a better video, but Bills car was swarmed if you couldn't tell. Bills' had the highest LEGAL SPL of the day. If you listen at the end you can here the 57 called. Bills' Hairtrick with lvl 5 18's... Sorry for the terrible quality, and positioning once again. His car was once again, swarmed... I may have a few more if I can find any more on my SD card... Anyways, enjoy! -
I was very impressed by the number of DC Audio competitors yesterday in Omaha. Even a few wins from DC competitors. I know Bills posted high numbers. Skittles posted a 151.3 in Local 1 and was to loud so he was bumped to Basic 5, , and there were plenty more I was impressed by. If I forgot you please post and let everyone know how you did. Congratulations guys! It was nice to meet everyone!
