WOW so much for "cleaning up" the box. Looks reborn!!!! Looks like you've been busy today http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif Almost looks as good as your handles and wiper hole will look smoothed out will call ya soon. swamped with little side stuff that has been stacking up.......

You said you used them before, always did good work, they always stood behind their work? would stick with them. you at least know what your getting for your money. besides, why change brands to save a buck when your current brand lasted 20+ years? and $6500 is not bad at all, we just spent $10k on a new 3.5 ton unit.

4 wheeler help
98crewcab replied to Eclipsebooom's topic in Engine and Performance - Anything for that couple extra horses!
I would say leave it on....backpressure is good for the valves if it is a 4stroke. And they sell high performance mufflers for 2 strokes as well, so I would keep it on......either way. -
Depends on where you are located. if you are off in the woods, your not going to get too far out, or pick up much. If you live pretty close to a freeway, you may be able to chat with some of the truckers as they pass through. depends on the power output of the cb you chose, the antennea you use, and the interference around you. invest in something nice, take it to a truckstop to find out how to turn it up, and have fun. I used to run a cobra nightwatch soundtracker. spent another $200 and got out more than 20 miles on flat land......most of your usable channels, common channels, are 19, 17, 15, 11. was when I was driving anyways. Good luck. (and you will have even more fun with your PA. pull up next to a cop......lol. jk. dont do that!!!) just thought of the antennea....believe it was a fire stick......just use 1, as 2 that are too close together can fuck with your distance. On a big rig they are like 12' apart. doubt your ride is that wide..... Damn, I miss driving.......

thats the coolest thing I have eva seen.....have to make one!!!!!!!!!! -
Maybe I mis understood this part, but I think you mentioned ALL type r's are dual 4ohm? Mine are actually dual 2 ohm. they have both......and I think it may be the same as said above. too small an enclosure maybe? Size of sealed enclosure? cant say I ever had a good experience with a SEALED type r. tried a couple times with wifes car and type r's, eventually went with ported. sounded better ported with 1 sub than 2 sealed.

Ported box for two Type Arrrrrgh's
98crewcab replied to white4d96's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
This is my current set up. very happy although I should have lengthened the port a bit to lower the tuning closer to 35hz. these dimensions are (outside dimensions) 32Wx14Hx17.5D. tuned to 38hz with the 12.5" tall x 3.5" wide port. porting this way eliminates the need for additional bracing. And, obviously, the enclosure in the pics are for 4 subs, at 64"w, so just cut the enclosure in half for 2 subs....yea, I know, but felt that if I didnt say that....some one would say something :tease: the back "L" is 3.75" long. so lengthen a bit more, (check re program for tuning length?) and increase depth of box to keep cubes......tired, if this makes no sence, I will fix it tomorrow. -
