  1. OK then. I don't plan on just changing anything else. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll give out just as Microsoft releases it's next OS. Then I can just upgrade again. I plan on having this comp till after my freshman year of college (or whenever I have money to build my own). Anyway, I'm installing now (I'm at 1% ) and can't wait. I'm excited to finally have my comp again. And thanks to all those who helped me!
  2. Ok. I'll put in 64 bit. But HP said my MOBO would only support 2 GB's, I never found info on the MOBO itself other than that. OHHH, and yeah, it's Windows 7. Sorry I forgot to mention that.
  3. Thanks for the info Herrie. According to wht I've found, my processor (AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-50) is a 64 bit. Do you think I'll be alright with only 2 gigs of memory? Also, according to wht I found, my MOBO only supports 2 GB's of RAM. But could it support more for a future upgrade? (Like way later in the future).
  4. I don't use much software. Firefox, some video editor (forget the name), audio editor (Roxio Music lab 9 for now), Itunes, and plan on trying my hand at Photoshop if I get the money. I don't know whether my comp came with 64 bit or 32. I got a free upgrade to Vista when it came out (HP just sent me one, dunno why; my comp was designated Vista compatible). Does anyone know?
  5. I'm kinda in a hurry so: My copy of windows arrived with both the 32 and 64 bit versions. I have a Compaq Presario V6120US with upgraded 2 GB memory and 500 GB HDD. Which should I use? 32 or 64 bit? Thanks in advance!
  6. Yeah. You're supposed to receive a disk with the upgrade on it for free. My sis ordered from bestbuy (I know, I know, but we couldn't find any touchscreen laptops anywere else that she wanted). The disk should be here soon. In the meantime, my copy that I payed for arrived right as I was walking in the door.
  7. WTH? My sister got an HP laptop and they just shipped her a Windows 7 DVD for free (just shipped a few hours ago). WTH did you buy the comp? They should have just sent a DVD like everyone else is doing.
  8. If you don't want to keep the spare tire, you could probably run a small 10" in the tire well under a false floor. But some good, high quality 8"s, some nice mids and tweeters witha good amp or 2 and a nice HU would be pretty good. The stock system is pretty good on the bass already, despite being only 8"s.
  9. After that post, I'm gonna say: Guys, don't respond. He already had his mind made up not to go to the doctor. He just wanted 1 person to post that the white stuff was harmless. Even if 9,000 people had told him to go to the doctor, and one person said something he wanted to hear, he would have ignored the 9,000 people and listened to the one person.
  10. Yeah, I seen the other topic. I can't wait to see a pic of the truck. I'll bet it looks awesome.
  11. So he has a 1992 Chevy Silverado Pickup? Is it a Z71? That's what I drive. I'll see if I can find a good pic.
  12. Yeah. I need of compacitor and dynamite too, then I'd probably hit 150 for the first time. Oooopppsss...
  13. I thought he ran half a dam country to get the message where it needed to go. *looks it up in book* Yep. He ran halfway across Greece according to my history book. And I'm sorry to hear what happened.
  14. Use the computer's volume, it will keep distortion lower than using the computr, then the HU, then the amp (or whatever else is between the HU and amp). IDK where you can find them, but you can buy some audio channel switchers that will allow you to connect 2 or more sources to your amps. Get a good quality one. And use a 50 or 60 Hz test tone and a multimeter and a 3.5mm to RCA converter to check the output voltage at 75% volume. If it's less than 2 volts, a line driver might be a good idea.
  15. I'm reading it now. The whole reason I want a Tline is because it will be loud off of just a little power. I read and re-read Forevrbumpn's tutorial and some other literature on Tline's and made up my mind. Thanks for all the info guys. I'll think about the choices over the next few days. Leaning towards the RF right now, but that could change. Thanks again.
