  1. I've been looking at several different manufacturers websites for a cheap reliable alarm. I want one with at least 1 auxilary output, but 2 would be desirable. I only need 1 door unlock, because the locks on both the doors are connected to the same circuit (both lock/unlock at the same time regardless of which switch is used) Does anyone know a good one. My budget is 150 dollars, if possible. And no, my truck didn't come stock from the factory with an alarm, so an OEM alarm add-on will not work.
  2. Hmmm... I'll definitely look into them. Thanks. If anyone else wants to weigh in on the subject, I'll listen.
  3. Hmmmm...I could probably get my dash and rear pillar speakers down as low as 300 hertz, but I'll have to test them to see if they sound good at that level. Ya'll think a little over 300 hertz would be all right?
  4. So they should work pretty good. What frequency would ya'll recommend as the max?
  5. They're Jensen. They sound really good. I'm not sure of the RMS, but I think it's half the max rated.
  6. I was wondering if it was possible to use 10" speakers as mids. I have a good set of 10"s that still work. They are SVC 4-ohm and 350 watts max.
  7. Your welcome. I just pulled the ones I thought were interesting. You have to copy the direct link from your album page and use the insert image button.
  8. Second Skin MaxHeat-D Second Skin Hot Rod Damplifier Second Skin Firewall I figure if it was over, this thread would be locked. But I've been known to be wrong. EDIT: It started on July 22 and they said they have 8 weeks left before they ship the product. So I reckon it's still going on.
  9. Man, I'm sorry about that. I don't live in Kentucky, but I know how you must be feeling. I've seen storms so bad they knocked trees over. One time a tree fell on our house. It wasn't heavy enough to do any real damage to the structure, but it tore a bunch of shingles off and the roof started leaking.
  10. Just ignore what I wrote, it's now unimportant.
  11. I've never used sketchup, but I think you save the image on your hard drive, then put it on PhotoBucket, then use the insert image buttion. I'm not sure if you can transfer directly from sketchup to PB.
  12. You were right about that. I was the second to put it in my sig.
  13. I don't know about the AC. You might have to use the lights manually. Sounds like faulty wiring to me.
  14. Quoting a guy on another forum, "He's a sheeple!"
  15. Fixed em for ya They're nice and all that, but we want more! EDIT: I found them on you PB page.
  16. I've always heard that sealed is better for quality and ported is better for power. But I could be mistaken.
  17. Ok, here's what I do. I buy some car wash at the local auto parts store. I wash my truck by hand with a clean, new shop rag. I dry it off using a lint free cloth. I wash it again, this time rubbing it firmly (but not hard). I dry it off again. I then use Meguiars 3 step deep crystal paint system. I use a clean, new shop towel to rub the paint cleaner on. I use a lint free cloth to wipe it off. I then use a Meguiars clay bar. After that I wipe it down with a lint free cloth. I use the Meguiars deep crystal polish. I use a shop towel to rub it on and a lint free cloth to rub it off. I then use the wax. I apply two coats using the shop towel and the lint free cloth to wipe it off. You have to devote two days, a few gallons of water (both for drinking and washing), sweat, and tears to get it clean. Despite the damage to my paint job, it shines pretty darn bright in the sun.
  18. Take the belt off and clean it using an old toothbrush and warm water with MILD amounts of soap. Do not put soap directly on the back of the belt as this can cause the belt to start slipping (especially if the belt is on the vehicle and running). Allow it to air dry for 24 to 48 hours. Make sure it is completely dry before you put it back on.
  19. No, but it does seem to be worse on Vista. I'd like to go back to XP, I love windows myself. But I don't like Vista. Maybe the next windows OS will be better.
  20. Just another reason to add to my list of reason's to not use Vista anymore. Now if only I could figure out linux.
  21. Keep the Optima YT for the starting and use a kinetic or equivalent in the back. I've never had an Optima I didn't like. I beat on my RT for a couple of years before it quit. However, Optima's shouldn't be used without some battery to aid them in powering the sound system IMO. Even if the engine is running.
