  1. yeah i dont understand how they get these numbers. ive read that the d3100 is good for 5000 watt systems. but to run a 7k daily driver id need 4 d3100 and 2700 up front.
  2. should be fine. the water is what causes it to dry rot. id say go for it
  3. damn mobster cars then your lexus haha looks sick as hell! Edit : you posted more pics before i put this. >ninjad
  4. doing a ported enclosure is not all that difficult. i say do a little more research and then build a sealed enclosure. also building a ported enclosure is going to get you the low end bass where the sealed will not be as dominating.
  5. yeah def. i need to check out the build specs first alright cool. i have always wanted to use it but never had a chance. i'll be back first week of March for SB. but im sure ur gonna want it before then. so let me know if u do and u can get it from my house. its in my room still in the Precision Port box. lol and you can just buy me lunch or something in return. no homo? lol ok
  6. yeah not many put them in a 4th but i figured id try it out. yes its a 2:1
  7. But you knew that he's gonna run 7500wrms to it. How come you didn't warn him about having this type of issue? How do you know I dident? Or are you makeing a assumption? We do have a blown sub, don't we? I'm not trying to say that DC builds shitty subs. But when brand new subs blowns within couple of hours of play, that doesn't look good on the company. Like forumasshole said, why build something that won't work? DC does make awesome subs, and I am considering trying out XL's. looks like he knows more about this than you do rusty. orion stang was told that the surround would be the first things to go. as this sub is not part of the official sub line. the buyer automatically knows that it may or may not perform as intended. why dont you go build a 12 in sub that will take 7.5k daily. unless you can do it better then you have no room to bash him.
  8. hey guys. i was thinking about .2 or .3 on the sealed side. any opinions?
  9. damn man thats a good deal. glws i still play sometimes. but i would have two hobbies that can break the bank in a few hours. car audio and paintball.
  10. why are you saying going to 8 d3400's?? you can use the 3100 and save space. you wont have enough room in your vehicle after having that many batteries in it. including that beast amp and subs.. and box.
  11. if you hit him up on his facebook he will make custom ones for a guage the link is on the website
  12. i feel bad for the poor bastard who brought that in lol. if its for sale for 67 bucks.. wtf did they buy it from him for.
  13. yeah. i was surely surpised it was that cheap. since retail on them is like 250
  14. found this rockford punch 500.1bd in a pawn shop when i went with my cousin to look for a garden hose reeler. lol i saw the price and just bought it. 67 bucks its got a few scratches on it. but it still works. probly gonna use this in my dads jeep on a DC level 2 8
  15. use a dmm to check voltage at the amp. if you have power then its either remote or the amp
  16. yes. if both are facing the same direction the phase is not important. if one was inverted and the other not. then you would have to adjust the phase
  17. you dont have to change any settings. there are not a huge difference on inverting the subs. the motor disrupts the rear wave. but other than that i wouldnt think anything of it. plus its cool lookin
