I doubt he has it turned up at all, probably just for show. His setup is very nice and could be a respectable demo-rig, but I think he may be doing everything with Exile whenever he gets the equipment.

Yea, I found an internet dealer who sells the 15" M-class. I guess the cat's out of the bag now! I couldn't find any last time I looked.

Whoops! Not the M3, its the M-class. I found 1 place that sells them now, but about 2 years ago, he was one of a couple who had a set. He told me no one had the 15" M-class and I didn't believe him, then I tried to find some and I couldn't find them anywhere.

2 12's at 1 ohm from a Crunch PZi 1600.1D, probably getting 500rms a piece or a little better. In comparison, when I was working for a local and respectable audioshop, the manager had 2 15" Memphis (quick edit:) M-class with a Clarion 3000D on both of them in a Civic, and my setup is a little louder but doesn't hit as low, which I'm not too happy with, but I'll live. (His are in a sealed box with about 2.4cu.ft. each and it shakes stuff up!) Any comments are cool, just figured some of you guys may remember the MD Sw's. Mine aren't POS's, but I would like to upgrade some day, cuz I'm giving these a lot and not caring, lol.

If you loose that 10", it would probably affect everything. Difference between the loudest, cleanest sounding Kickers or just another loud Kicker setup. You've spent all the effort tuning the box to be perfect with the subs and car, so I say spend an extra day building it and make it perfect.

Yep! What would be even better is some 10" PVC tube and cut it in 1/4's and put them in the corners!

You're gonna brace the corners(don't remember the correct term for those 45's in the corners), right? I think you want as smooth of a wave path as possible.

This is a first for a lot of things for me. I built my first double baffle, selectable port, sub box. My daily is not tuned as low as I like, but I'll be fine. Here are some pics. Couldn't get an amp shot, cuz it's under the passenger seat, but I got 2 pics of the important stuff. lol (I don't have any important wires showing, the ones you might spot under the dash have been removed. They were for the system that was in it about 5 years before I got it.) If you play this on full screen or Youtube, you can see the seat flexing(edit: I guess it's clear enough to see in the little screen too)... Nothing crazy, but again, it's a trunk with the back seat in tact.

You can make it loud and sound good with a simple ported box. You could make something better than a spec-box, though. They don't consider what kind of car it's going into, but it would be fine, not "best".

In the Zuki world, we use bicycle gear selector cables and rig them to the gas pedal to hold the pedal down for warm-up, hill stalls, and winching. I could find the writeup if you are interested.

A properly made bandpass is one of the best enclosures you can make, but only if you study your sub T/S parameters and make it perfect for the vehicle. That's why a lot of them you hear sound shitty. That's why I stick to ported boxes... I haven't graduated to advanced enclosures! lol

If you made the box 35"w*25"d*20"h, you would set your port dimensions at 33.5"w and play with how tall to make it till you get the right frequency with a 24.25" "length. This is just an example, I have no idea how big you are gonna make this box.

I believe that would technically be considered a 4th order bandpass. I like doing 6th order's like that; it's kinda like a phase box without thought. I know that the whole "port" will need to be properly tuned for the best performance.

I had the same thing happen to both my ears back when I was really into the loud stuff. Can't figure out what it was, but as for fluid buildup behind your eardrum, you could try eating something realllllllly hot. Make sure it's hot enough to make your eye's water and noise run!
