I would be positive your ground is good, not on any paint and very tight....if so, then it's the amp.

x2 and also I love my BL's...I say give em each 1500 watts and 4 will be crazy loud. Once again, don't get the extreme lead, but get everything else with daily and universal...

I never said that they all sounded the same...but the mass majority of subs will sound good in a good enclosure.. I'm not an audiophile, but my dad is, and he tells me that my system would sound amazing if one of my crossovers for my front speakers was working properly... Trust me it took me ALOT of tuning to get him to even acknowledge the fact that my Jeep could one day sound good. And now he is really impressed by how flat the whole system is...

and they WILL sound good if in a big well-built box tuned to specs....that I promise.

Well my dad's college friend Mark is visiting from New York, and we were talking about my sound system... he started to tell me about their other good friend Steve's attempt to put speakers in his car back in the day....Well apparently Steve, who is now director of operations for City Bank in Europe (he's the rich one of the three) isn't too handy. He spent an entire day trying to install two speakers while the other guys were trying to get him to go watch football with them... Finally there was a commercial so all the guys go outside to see why he is taking so damn long. They ask him what is happening, and he tells them to sit in the car...They do and he turns it on, but there is no music. Then he opens the driver side door, and music starts playing. The man actually wired the remote up to the same line that the lights controlled by the doors run on My dad had to fix the problem...I thought this was unbearably funny since I know Steve and can see him doing something like that... Then they went on to tell me about when he tried to install his radiator, and it worked...Steve said "I'm the best fucking mechanic in the world" and five minutes later it started shooting liquid everywhere...ahhh good stories...

damn man...with the same wattage my 225 amp alt and stock battery can pretty much keep up, at least at 2000 rpms....even at idle I can play most songs at full tilt...is your wiring up to par??? Strange.

But that takes away all the fun....I like my BL's, they sound freaking good when I turn the bass low enough for everything to be flat, believe it or not.

Well at the present time I'm broke and can't afford to buy a replacement crossover for my front speaker which was burned when I was first tuning everything, so that would be first. But I owe my dad quite a bit of money so it will be a while.

ehhhhh.....well sq takes a huge amount of time, which is money. 3 way active systems aren't exactly cheaper than just passive component sets. What kind of prices did you spend?

SQ > SPL in my opinion... congrats that your pleased....when I'm rich I will make an all SQ system,...but for now I will have fun with SPL.

Well Spring Break starts for me today...and the teacher is just expecting drawings of our plans after the holiday.... Let's just say, I can't draw to save my fuckin life...But I am Really Really good at making machine-like shit...and I have about 6 houses full of scrap shit to use.... This is my kind of project, especially since I'm too poor to actually enjoy spring break this year.

For those of you who don't know, a Rude Goldberg machine is basically a bunch of small simple machines (i.e. lever, wheel, incline plane) combined to achieve a simple task. One example is this really cool one by Honda: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4187430023476942057 Well I need to make one for physics class, and basically I decided to do it without a group ( because I would probably get stuck with some lazy mofos). So I will probably get the help of a few friends and maybe family and build the most kick ass machine possible. Anyone have any idea as to what the machines goal can be, or any types of machines they would like to see put in there....I will make a vid of it when it is all functional... I want to use... Fire, strings being cut, music/speakers, electricity, incline planes, levers, wheels, and anything else that someone can think of.... Physics is my thing so I am going to have fun with this...
