  1. Hey Im on my phone so I can't really see the sketchup, how does it look? The first measurement seems right but I just can't visualize the second lol. Thanks for the responses
  2. So I cut it to the physical port length instead of the actual I typed in?
  3. Yea i usually just figure out the cuts once I'm out there but just trying to get myself a cut sheet so I can cut it quick. I see the first piece now but the second seems short? Lol could you explain?
  4. Well the port has to be 3" from the back wall so wouldn't that first piece be too short? Or am I smokin crack lol. 1.5 plus 16.5=18 which would put it 3" from the back. Am I forgetting to add the back wall .75?
  5. I'm not 100% on 45 disp. So I just put .1 for now, might be .2? Either way not too worried about it. Any chance someone can give me the lengths of the 2 port pieces? Is it 16.5 for the first, and 16.75 for the second? The baffles will give it 1.5" of port and the second piece will be coming off the first port piece giving it an extra .75. Is that correct?
  6. I believe its the same with an extra baffle and drop of tuning 2hz. Here's how it looks now.
  7. Sounds good. I'm used to rather large boxes with aeros for the most part. Easier on me anyways lol. Anything else?
  8. Thanks for the input. My buddy doesn't plan on competing, he asked for them so I'm just going to throw them in. I make them pretty small so that it just rounds the edges a bit. Nothing crazy, ive seen some threads on here about it as well.
  9. As for the airspace, I only put .1 of disp. for bracing but there will be 45s and at least 1 dowel rod so in sure it'll be closer to 2-2.1. I chained the common port walls to 3, added 2" of port length and dropped the depth to 21". Now it's 2.38 net, 35hz w/ 18" of port per cube. How's that?
  10. Your right, I had it on 3 and then changed it last minute. I'll change that and see how it comes out. Thanks. Anything else?
  11. Let me know what you guys think about this enclosure. Building it for my buddies car, he will have it on 1500w. Still new to using the Torres Box Calc but here is what I came up with. It will be double baffled as well, just didn't add that into the calc. Suggestions?
  12. The pleasure is mine man, awesome stuff to work with. I forgot to mention how easy the tiles were to work with. Didn't have to cut a single piece, it honestly probably took me 35 minutes to damp the whole roof! Yes TL numbers will be done, and I already know my pre-deaden score on 1 amp so it will be a direct comparison
  13. So today I was finally able to deaden my vehicle. I have been waiting for a product that I thought would do the job but not kill the bank at the same time. I really wanted something that would work great and not need me to add additional layers down the road. Headliners are not fun so I wanted to get it done as soon as possible. Packaging arrived safe and securely and in a timely fashion. I also like the U.S.A sticker! Comparison pictures. The first one next to my laptop and the second next to AudioTechnix 60 mil deadener. At first glance you realize it's not your "average" deadener. This foil backing looks like sheet metal compared to aluminum foil you might wrap your food with. I will skip the fun part of taking apart my headliner but show my progress pictures and short but sweet videos. Here is my pre-deadening video Before installing any deadener this is a must! Here is what I am looking to cover about 90% This panel is the largest and creates the most flex/noise. It is between the A and B pillar. I believe it is this large because most versions of my Escape have sunroofs. This one does not, leaving me with this panel. It was so quick and easy that I didn't even have time to take a ton of progress pictures, but here they are! Here is my final review video. After watching it keep in mind I am in a garage so everything sort of echos. When my buddy knocks toward the back of my roof the racks on top are what you hear rattling. Let me tell you, the inside of that roof is solid! Hope you guys enjoy the review, I really wanted to get TL results showing the difference between before and after but I've had some technical difficulties. If you have any questions, please let me know! Lastly, Jon from Second Skin has been a great help in directing me with which types of deadening I should use for other areas of my interior. He is very knowledgeable and has done an awesome job answering my questions promptly!
  14. Sundown, skar, obsidian all great choices. Another sub to look into tho for nearly half the cost would be the crossfire audio c5 12. They're older version was rated for 300w but now they have upgraded soft parts to rate at 500w at close to the same cost (nearly 80 bucks)! If ya need any help let me know.
  15. So if tuned with the car on whats the difference? Is it worth re tuning with the car off?
  16. Will this work like a maxxlink? To control multiple amps and control the RCA voltage? Cleanly lol
  17. Alternator power is what is going to keep you in mid 13s, batt power will keep you above 12v. Just be happy with mid 12s man lol.
  18. Even the coil gets hot after maybe 30 seconds of play time. I can feel the motor but it's decieving because it's so cold out in Michigan, I'm not really in my car long enough for the motors to really get to room temp. Honestly Im pretty sure I know what it is now, as these weren't standard xs v2 recones like I thought..
  19. I set it with a -5db so it really should have a low risk of clipping. As for the subsonic it's roughly between 25-30hz. They can smell of low songs, high songs, doesn't matter. My gain is about 3/8 just so you understand how low it physically looks. My volume on my hu doesn't clip to 39/40, I set it to 36/40. I don't drop past mid 12s full tilt on music. Hope that answered everything. It has to be something to do with the subs.. I'll figure it out.
  20. Honestly if I were you man, I would just get the xp 3000 while its on sale, then pickup the 2400 once you have the money. Can't go wrong either way though.
  21. Look up knukonceptz. Great RCA's for a great price. Lowest line starting around 5 bucks and they work pretty well. Or pick yourself up some very nice ones for about 18. Krystal is what I'm using. Good luck!
  22. What do you mean by secondary battery kit? If you have 2 secondary batteries then maybe make a 1ft pos n neg wire to connect the terminals. But for just 1 secondary battery you just connect the pos from your front batt and either ground in the back or at the neg of your front battery. Is that what you mean?
  23. 2 amps, 2 subs. d1s wired to 1ohm, then strapped so they each see .5. The subs are running warm and I can smell them after 30-45 seconds of full tilt play.
