DVC d4 12 originally $400 from authorized retailer! perfect working condition. gets really loud even though its a SQ driver. rated at 600rms but can take up to 850. did a 146.xx with 2 of these in my truck off 800 rms a piece has small dent in cone and surround as well as some scratches on the basket. none of which effect its performance. 150 shipped. i have great refs on here, CA, and ebay.

ya it sounds like that was my problem.. i was flippin shit cuz when i did the math when the gain was cranked the amp was only puttin out 1100 watts! but now i know that was the reason why. ill try again tommorrow and hopefully have better luck!

yup i think that was the problem... sub setting was at 0 and i guess on alpine h/u the subwoofer setting needs to be all the way up. i guess the h/u only puts out like .3 v with sub setting at 0 and the full 2 at 15 so im going to try again tomorrow

i meant gain is set 40% on the amp

ok so not getting enought input meaning..... i need new better RCAs? cuz mine are cheap rockford ones anyway. if that will solve my problem then i am more then willing to get new RCAs

2v but another guy is getting his 54.77 on the same amp with gain at 40% using a LOC and thats only 1.5v

ok so i went out to set my gain propely in my car and ran into a problem. for starters i have a hdc312 being ran off a kicker zx1500.1 at 2 ohms, kicker 1/0 from batt to amp, 1/0 ground, and an exide orbital d34 batt. also next week im doing the big three. so i think that my electrical is not spectacular, but its enough to run my amp. i wanted to throw about 1500 rms to my AQ so that is what i was going to set my amp to. according to the table on this page i was supposed to set my amp voltage at 54.77.. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showth...ight=set+comps so i did everything right i used a 50 hz tone, disconnected speaker terminals, turned off my other speakers so i didnt have to listen to it, set everything to 0, hpf off, and started playing the track. i also set all gains on the amp to 0. i had my dmm plugged into the terminals and proceeded to try and set it at 54.77 but on max gain in was like 46.xx? wtf so that means im getting like 1100 rms? am i doing something totally wrong here or is my amp messed up. btw i checked my ground and its good and my batt is idling in the 14s. help please!

thats actually some nice ass equipment for a not too bad price. i was hitting high 140s in my truck with 2 diamond d6s. and that box looks pretty damn nice so who knows

ya man it sounds like you just have seen some cool vids on youtube and want to buy them just because of that. your going to need some major power to feed either one of those subs and its probably not going to be the easiest project for a beginer. im not saying you know nothing but most people with experience dont base their desicions on subs by vids on youtube. plan on spending alot more money for an alt, batts, big wire, deadener, and a big ass amp
