How about a raised logo on the boot or something, or even an engraved or machined DC on basket to break up the black. Anything cool that's not pressed out to the masses. Make it sing DC and only DC.

There's no real purpose of an high excursion 8. Who really try's for spl with an 8" anyways. There primarily for people with limited space.

The biggest issue with a large coil 8 is having any spider left . Even if you tool a spider as large as possible (still fitting throught the cut out for a its still really only good for a 2" coil. Power could be increased by some monster cooling on it though looks like that's the new project then. just needed some confirmation from the consumer Thats what Im thinking too, Alright. What kind of features would people want to see on a new 8" The custom capabilities of your other subs would be great to see on the new 8 like custom caps, cones you know all the cool features to really make it your own. Maybe a standard version for 95% of the people. And some not assembled for us picker guys....lol

I'd like to see something new and with more flair and maybe no so plain, lots on sexiness and carbon fiber on this 8 please.............

We do get a lot of emails asking when we will have 8s again I've had about 20 calls this month, with people wanting to know when they will be available or want to buy some.

Clipping and distortion isn't the same thing. Also just because a scope shows a nice rounded wave at the peak, doesn't mean it's not clipping on the way up or down the slope. 1% distortion is very minimal, and isn't detected on most LCD screams on oscopes. Personally I have a tip 440 oscopes and and upgraded dd1 to a HV version. I'll use the dd1 first every time. The scope now is just and overpriced dmm

Port area is way to small. You need to make it larger

Well seems Jon and cody got this covered. Everyone calls and asks why the 12s are recommended in 1.25-1.5. It wasn't something we just guessed on. Try me it was tested and posted that way for a reason.

If you shrink the port you will have virtually no port area. It needs to be lengthened. I don't have a port calculator in from of me but I'd guess it needs to be close to 22" long and still stay at 1.25 per cu. I don't see you getting the required space and port without rebuilding the entire enclosure.

The lvl 2 12 ported size is 1.25cu ported per sub. It appears you are very limited on space. Although the port area is lower then I'd suggest it will work fine, however the port length is very short and tuned pretty high. There is no standard port length as shape of the port and using common port walls effects tuning. I would recommend tuning them in the 34-36hz range, but that's my preference. Tuning is more of a personal taste. I have found everyone likes there's different.

I'd buy the AD-1 at its current size. I'd even say at 1000bux it's probly worth way more.
