GOOD BOX SPECS FOR 18'' XL!?
dcsoundlabMN replied to dcsoundlabMN's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
no i wasnt aware of that one, thanks ill try it now edit: ya that one isnt really what im looking for jus a quick question is 100.5 sq in of port too much for jus one 18? -
i got one xl 18 im building a box for and need to know some good specs, i can only go so far because the RE box calc doesnt let you adjust port width. but this is what i have so far, 6.2 cu ft, tuned to 34.9, with about 105 sq in of port is this too much port? how can i go ahead and calculate a shorter port width? edit: gonna be roughly 2300-2500 watts on it, and i have more room to work with cuz i just bought a 02 trailblazer

best way to get 0 ga into 4 ga terminals...
dcsoundlabMN replied to dcsoundlabMN's topic in Amplifiers
its a soundstream trx2000d there should be enough room in between terminals for 2 reducers, otherwise i can grind them flat on the side touching eachother i would rather not splice them together, i asked someone about that at my local shop and he didnt recommend it, he said reducers. will the tightening screw on the amp terminal be strong enough to hold the metal tip inside? otherwise could i just wrap electrical tape around it after it has been inserted? -
ya sounds dumb to me, no offense.. build a box for the trunk.. save money, time, and embarrasment
