  1. 200 amps of internal fusing, I don't think you'll see 3,200rms anyday sir. Since I went a different direction. -----> http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=71208
  2. And it sounded like crap? Its hard to believe that Do you know what you are doing?
  3. I'll be honest, I have a REALLY REALLY REALLY good feeling that this knob is the "remote gain." In which you turn the entire way up, set your gains with either the dmm or o-scope, then turn back down. Therefore the knob would limit you to only your maximum gain set. WHICH, would not be using your "bass boost." Often referred to as the same thing, "gain" and "boooooooooooooooooooosssssssssssssssssssssttttttt" are different.
  4. I came into this thread not really knowing what to expect... Your best bet would be to contact a Rockford Fosgate representative and ask the EXACTLY what it does. You'll find people on here that think they know what they are talking about and insist one thing, you'll have others that are spot on, and you'll have some giving you their $0.02 and tell you to contact the manufacturer that knows FOR SURE. Good luck.
  5. Out of curiosity, and on shop price, how much did you pay for each 13w7?
  6. I'm pretty sure it went: 1) 1w7 - 500 2) 1w7 - 500, yellow top 3) 1w7 - 1000, yellow top 4) 1w7 - 1000, 2w7 - 1000, yellow top, alt At least that's what i'm getting. He never ran the pair of w7's on the 500/1.
  7. A sub in a single cab will sound a lot different from the same setup in a trunked car with the seats up man.
  8. Only thing I can really say is to be completely honest with them. Look them in the eyes, stand still, and explain every little detail to them... I learned to do everything by myself because I hate not being in control of something. I know exactly how every single wire is routed, how every soldered joint looks, and exactly where my crossover point, etc are set at. By learning these things and doing them on your own, you shouldn't have to worry too much. By letting the shop do the install, you HAVE TO TRUST them and their work. By this, they should stand by the install job that they did, and help you out as much as possible... But then again, you never know. The shop people could just be dicks and say that the car was 110% fine when it left, and it broke while it was in your hands....
  9. Oh shit, my bad man, YOU are Infinite913. I saw that someone posted the 2k5 clamp readings... And thought that they got your words of 5k2 and 2k5 mixed up trying to say that Stetsom doesn't do rated at lower voltages.... It must be getting late. I don't post dump, just so you know, just trying to keep everything in the thread clarified to get your questions answered more quickly. Good luck sir.
  10. I dont know what he was getting at. I just wanted to let the amount of power I would be using for the total setup! http://www.stetsom.com.br/eng/DetalhesProduto.aspx?c=8101&cat=172 and when I clamped the 2k5 at 2 ohms it actually did a true 3540rms at 14.2 volts Didn't he say he was using the 5k2d and NOT the 2k5? The 2k5 is rated 3,300 @ 13.8V. So that 3,540 would be good. Which would be a relatively good sign that the 5k2 would do rated as well?
  11. I use WeldingSupply.com 2/0 welding cable in my car. May be a far stretch, but if you need names? Also, my first set of subs were made by a brand named Petras. Discontinued in 1994. I can delete the image if it takes up too much space.
  12. Yep, from the video, it sure does look like a pain in the ass...
  13. What's that shrink your net volume to?
  14. Yes, the 2-ohm load is what you want. Build your box to the subwoofer's specifications. Use the Torre's calculator in the enclosure section. It is stickied at the top.
  15. Lyrically great. Just the meaning behind the words, especially if you know a lot of the background info, is amazing. But that synthesizing shit ruined the beat, in a horrible horrible way....
  16. Thank you for all of the suggestions guys! I really did like some of them... Minus the teacher's car/ boat one. I was going to try to combine a few into something, but when I got to Pat Catan's, something hit me. I saw and cardboard flower pot. And thought I could do something with it. Well, we have a ton of birds around here living in the woods practically, and a ton of bird feeders to go with it, so I tried my hand... Cardboard flowering pot, cardboard cone, 6 pieces of brown and green embroidery string, brown/green paint, hot glue, dowel rod, pipe cleaners, leaves... ALL supplies including brushes, sponge, and paint itself ran me about $8.00 total for the whole project. Nothing special, but it got me the A. This bad boy will be hung up come spring... lol
  17. Have you tried from here yet? Had to help a friend find a DL link last week. http://www.soft82.com/download/Windows/Windows_Movie_Maker Forgot link... lol
  18. Hmmm... Maybe a bowl for him to keep his good good in? And the television fish bowl would be awesome! You're gonna get me in a lot of trouble dude. lol
  19. [email protected] Feel free my man, i'll have it shipped out in the morning. Takes money to use money. lol And I actually like this idea. Thanks.
