  1. It could be just the weather. I know my sub is really warm on hot days when I dont even use it, And its in my trunk. Do you remeber what it smelled like? Did it have a sweet soft smell to it? Or did it not smell good?
  2. When I went looking for a car, thats what I wanted was a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I was looking for a 3rd gen, as the 2nd are mad ugly. We were talking to the guy at the dealership who had one for sale at his other location for cheap, around 4,700 I think. He said stay away from them, they always have something going wrong with them and with a car that sexy, but that cheap I had to believe him. I see quite a bit of them around my house, probably atleast half that I see around are rice. Fart cannons are always on those things.
  3. Haha, She the host of a Tv gaming show on G4 shes pretty awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kPT7vME6qs
  4. Thanks guys. I was going to belt sand that side down but got lazy lol
  5. Hey though id post a picture of my box just for the heck of it. Its my fist box ever (and system). The box is 1.25 cubic feet after sub displacement and tuned to 34 Hz. It sounds pretty damn good IMO. Check it out tell me what you think. I messed up slightly while cutting the top piece, thats why the side the port looks crooked a bit.
  6. Wow and the video as only been up for like a day thats nuts
  7. Im no expert but Id say with that amount of power youll atleast want 0 gauge for power and ground. For speaker wire 10 to 12 would work. As far as brands I hear that Rockford Fosgate, Kicker and Stinger are good. EDIT: You may already know this but you aughtta do the Big 3
  8. Ive been looking at the Q and it seems just what im looking for but the price is too expensive for me right now, im looking for sub AND amp to be around 250$. So the sub will have to be around the 100$ range. Ive heard Rockford fosgate has great SQ subs, but they cant take much of a beating, is this wrong?
  9. Im looking at buying a 10" Alpine type R and an Alpine MRP 500, The sub will be in a ported box, not sure on size yet though. Im aiming for an SQL type system. I can get the sub and amp for around 250$ total, is there anything better I can get for same price about? Im on a tight budget and open for suggestions.
  10. It depends what your shooting for... Based off of some things I read, The Type R is more durable and has the potential the get louder than the P3 but not sound as clean. So if you want SQ then the P3 Would probably be best bet. Again though its all personal preference.
  11. Hm, I know for me sometimes the volume bar on the videos glitches and goes all the way down when I dont want it to. Im sure you've already checked that though, maybe try playing with it for a second. Other than that idk =/
  12. Do you hear sounds on any other sites? Sometimes its your browser.
  13. For some reason I thought that you couldnt really play anything below tuning frequency lol. But thanks for clearing that up for me guys. I dont have a system yet, nor care even, but I plan on getting one very soon as well as a system. Btw im loving this forum, the amount of information on here is incredible! Im stil reading lots and gaining information on car audio.
  14. Thanks for the info I might try a few things. When you say "you could tune 10 hertz below" do you mean, "you could play 10 hertz below"?
  15. Ive read that most prefab. enclosures are tuned high. Now my sister has an (dont laugh) 8" bazooka tube in her car and it is able to hit all the frequencies pretty damn good, but the lows, like the low lowwwwws sound unbelievable for that size sub, clean and rather loud. So I imagine that the sub is playing below tuning frequency when it hits those notes. How far is a sub able to actually play below tuning frequency and still sound that damn good?
