  1. i have some experience with a few of there amps, but have never used one that could play low frequencies. and i mean at all. They just don't sound very good. I wouldn't waste your money, i would buy an audiopipe amp if you are trying to save money. 1 ap3000d would put out more power than 2 of the 5500's strapped. If not more power, it would def sound better, and your sub/subs would last. just my .02!
  2. bout to re enlist , Make FT. Jackson my duty station, just to be close to this thing.Excellent work guys!!!!
  3. i know i have seen lots of high end installs on here where the amp rack is on the box. But i guess there really isn't an exact answer. Your absolutely right about the can, the only thing that makes it move in my blazer is the air from the port. The box should have no vibration. But it all comes down to rather you feel its safe or not, seems to be about 50/50 here.
  4. lol..all i can figure out is he is asking if he is posting it right...lol.. i just can't stop laughing at these replies. lmao. this is great! p.s. post count +1
  5. i have wondered this myself. i don't understand how it can vibrate the amp, if it is mounted securly. if the box is built correct and is not flexing there should be no vibration right???
  6. i like it!!! i'll take 2 plz!! what type of box/setup you have it in?? if you don't mind me asking.
  7. i have and soon i hope will be able to say "had" a diamond audio d3 15" i built a ported box, 4.1cubes after displacement, and tuned at 33 hz and it just absolutely slams for what it is, has descent sq as well. i think with the right power 3 10 inch d3's would sound good in the right box. but i don't think it would be this wow factor your after. I would go with something else, check out the site and do some research, there are better subs out there for a little more money, that i think would be better for what you want. have fun with it!!!!!! :hairtrick:
  8. what model dayton mids/highs sound descent in a motor vehicle??
  9. your cool, its kind of crazy to me because some of the prices are cheap for these speakers. thats why i want to know if they are good. I see a lot of the morel stuff as well.
  10. i see a lot of people use dayton mids and highs. I see they get them from parts express a lot. and the only ones i can find on that website are for home audio. If they are for home audio, are they still ok to use for mobile audio?? compared to other mids and highs, like rockford power series, are they descent speakers?? thanks for the help guys, if someone else has posted this i apologize, just been driving me nuts.
  11. went when i graduated 10 years ago, was strapped to instructor, and it was still amazing!! a must do for everyone!!!!!
  12. the truck that flipped has 500 hp and a 6 speed transmission, should fry them like nothing.
  13. how did steve re fasten his door panels back to the doors. with the stock piece of crap clips or some other way??? 1 more question, running all 4 guage instead of the stock 8 guage for the big 3 does the cable from the alternator to the batt have to be fused?? if so what size fuse?
  14. I know this is cheating and probably defeats the purpose of me building my own box but here's my ? Can someone help me design a box for 1 15" diamond audio d3 sub. i would like it tuned somewhere between 30 -32 hz , but if anyone else has any other suggestions i'm completely open. I have a 2000 2 door chevy blazer. I can only go 40 inches on width. Should i go with a round port, or a slot?? I will accept any help given. Thanks for all your time. P.s. does anyone have any idea what kind of db i may hit with this set up, i have a fosgate t600.1 amp. The loudest system i had was 2 12 inch mtx thunder 6000's on an older fosgate power1100a2 amp. and i hit 146.9 but i think it was an audiocontrol meter or something like that at a local stereo shop, which is now out of business.(year 2001) My system is more for sq now, but i want this sub to be decently loud but still be able to get those lows we all love. i have it in a sealed box right now at 2 cubic ft. and i'm kinda surprised with the clarity of it, and how loud it is. just can't stand sealeds boxes.
