  1. I pre-ordered one, so hopefully it's in the mail, but no worries, you guys worked hella hard and I can wait. One hypothetical question though....If I have a 5000 watt amp pushing a Sony Xplode, how do you keep the Xplode from....xploding?
  2. Damn I'd be pissed if I had to shell out more moneys like that. But it's better than buying tires. How thick is powdercoating? Do these things slide into place?
  3. Problem: Low battery LED is on Solution: Really? Hahahahaha can't wait for this little wonder
  4. "Distortion will occur BEFORE clipping will" The golden sentence...if it is true. That was my problem. I was not sure if distortion came before clipping. OBVIOUSLY "I" will not keep turning the gain while the distortion is pumping through just to find clipping. No need to get angry over how someone shoulnd't listen to "dirty" sound. I will use MY MONEY without worry now, thank god you ship to Canada.
  5. Why are people saying it won't detect clipping, and then some people saying they will set their gains with it? Simple hypothetical question...I want to set a brand new amp up with a brand new sub, I don't care about distortion. Will the SMD tell me when I am clipping my amp?
  6. Wow, that's beautiful! Good thing he went back and filled in some spots, the tiniest of flaws would be visible. Great job both of you.
  7. I heard it's better when all your batteries are the same. I could only fit a kinetik 1400 under my hood so the other two in the trunk are 1400 too. Actually, every manual for anything electronic recommends NOT mixing batteries, don't know the reason though
  8. Now will two 15 BL`s off 2700RMS be louder than one 15 BTL off 2700RMS?
  9. Um sticky that shit^^^ ATTENTION NEWBIES, DO YOU HAVE AN AMP? READ THIS!
  10. Yea you need to spend a couple hours reading first. You have a DC sub but don't know what clipping is. That's dangerous.
  11. Whoa whoa whoa, a permanent scope? I love it, how does it work, where do you buy?
  12. 32:3 Polk MM6501 mids - 12 polk MM6501 tweet- 12 polk mm 4" mid - 4 polk mm 1/2" tweet-4 Polk MM 10" sub - 2 Fi Q 15" sub - 1 If I never found Steve? Hahahaha 2 component sets and one twelve
  13. I would never let my kids listen to music that loud. My dad subjected me to loud music and I loved it when I was little but I couldn't forgive myself if I affected my child's hearing.
  14. No it's a precision port. So 2 taperd ends and a coupler. And it comes with a foot long pipe. You cut the foot long pipe to size and put a coupler on both ends and then attach both tapered pieces to the coupler. I didn't even use the foot long piece. I just used the one coupler and attached the tapered ends. There is absolutely no way to cut it short. It worked out fine. Just added alot of fiberglass to the inside to decrease the volume.
  15. The transition from the subs to the towers is flawless. Looks hella clean. Are there any calculations that go into using PR's? For Example, you wanted to use one 18" SMD in a recommended enclosure. Do the PR's have a calculated effect on the sound? As in more PR's or different size PR's affect the sound? Are they in anyway a substitute for tuning? Or is it just, power one speaker in a sealed enclosure and add as many PR's as possible?
  16. Lmao i was just kidding about people taking vacations, damn hit it right on the head. Alright back to work, let's see some more sick fab skills.
  17. Lol I know wayyy too low. Turns out I made a box as big as I could fit. I made the mistake of purchasing an aero port before I built the box so I couldn't make the port shorter, thus 26HZ. Since then I have resined all corners to make 45s and that should bring it up. Err...right?
  18. And if you had time to waste? And no money to lose? Would it still be worth having an upgraded sub. Lol I think I just answered my question. OK I'm going to Kijiji my old sub and IF it sells, then I will buy the new one.
  19. Hahhaha I knew someone would ask if I`d let it sit again. The one I have now I was meant to run at one ohm. Just wondering before I put it in should I sell the one I have and order the new one. I have heard the one I have at home in a 3.8ft box tuned to 26 and it sounded good but not loud enough, which was most likely from the tuning. What if the tuning was 34Hz, would there be an audible difference between these models?
