"Distortion will occur BEFORE clipping will" The golden sentence...if it is true. That was my problem. I was not sure if distortion came before clipping. OBVIOUSLY "I" will not keep turning the gain while the distortion is pumping through just to find clipping. No need to get angry over how someone shoulnd't listen to "dirty" sound. I will use MY MONEY without worry now, thank god you ship to Canada.

Need more power
monkeyleg replied to nwatson's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
I heard it's better when all your batteries are the same. I could only fit a kinetik 1400 under my hood so the other two in the trunk are 1400 too. Actually, every manual for anything electronic recommends NOT mixing batteries, don't know the reason though -
Lol what was the question again?

Level 5 on a sundown saz3500?
monkeyleg replied to Jason_D's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Whoa whoa whoa, a permanent scope? I love it, how does it work, where do you buy? -
No it's a precision port. So 2 taperd ends and a coupler. And it comes with a foot long pipe. You cut the foot long pipe to size and put a coupler on both ends and then attach both tapered pieces to the coupler. I didn't even use the foot long piece. I just used the one coupler and attached the tapered ends. There is absolutely no way to cut it short. It worked out fine. Just added alot of fiberglass to the inside to decrease the volume.

The transition from the subs to the towers is flawless. Looks hella clean. Are there any calculations that go into using PR's? For Example, you wanted to use one 18" SMD in a recommended enclosure. Do the PR's have a calculated effect on the sound? As in more PR's or different size PR's affect the sound? Are they in anyway a substitute for tuning? Or is it just, power one speaker in a sealed enclosure and add as many PR's as possible?

Hahhaha I knew someone would ask if I`d let it sit again. The one I have now I was meant to run at one ohm. Just wondering before I put it in should I sell the one I have and order the new one. I have heard the one I have at home in a 3.8ft box tuned to 26 and it sounded good but not loud enough, which was most likely from the tuning. What if the tuning was 34Hz, would there be an audible difference between these models?
