i was gonna say, type r's get pretty low... lower than most best buy subs it all depends on what your comparing it to. If your comparing to an 18" Q, then no, they dont get low.

I wired it to 8 because my reciever is built for a 6-8 ohm load, and i dont want to burn it up with a 2. When i get the amp hooked up, it will be from the rca from my comp, so it goes comp(rca>)amp(rca>)surround sound(receiver) bass will be independant. Settled in its new home playing 50hz, but you cant really see it due to lack of power (50 or 70 rms i think) and shitty phone cam. thats my bump for now updates later
