  1. When I saw the German Shephard run out in front of him I thought it was a fail video! That guy is a beast for sure. Takes mad skills to memorize the layout of a course that long.
  2. There isnt one person here that knows the TS specs on the XL 15's? Rusty? Anybody?
  3. I'm trying to find out all the T/S specs on the XL 15's. I need more than what is on the DC website. Any links or anybody know them??
  4. What kind of car is this your planning to paint? Any pictures of its current condition?
  5. Mine are in the factory housings(not installed by me) and I get flashed everytime I use my headlights. Gets really old after the first few.
  6. Spill the beans....you rebuilding again or what? If you have it later this week I will come get it.
  7. I really hope so! A name like that will provide lots of jokes on the forum
  8. Looks like my house after leaving my dog at home all day! Minus the extremly nice vehicles of course.
  9. Google images, or hit up one of the LT1 forums and search for it. Should be easy to find.
  10. Obviously they are parts of the subwoofers. As far as the technical meaning to what they claim I have no idea. Neither will anybody else. JL has tons of patents on the W7's though. You could probly search them and figure out what exactly they are claiming.
  11. The two I put in bold I will buy. The others are exagerated terms used to make the subs seem like they are made out of top of the line, state of the art materials that no one else can get their hands on. Put either sub next to an SMD, LVL5 or something similar and see which one looks like it is built the best.
  12. I bought 4 DC XL 15's and an AQ20. I also spent a lot on the Snap on truck for some tools that I needed.
  13. These terms are a super sophisticated way of saying the two subs are made of the cheapest parts that could be found, then they were put together by robots on an assymbly line. They were then cheaply packaged and overpriced because of the name that is on them. It's marketing hype to make people think they are superior to other subs. Dont fall for it.
  14. Take the car to have the trans serviced. It could be a clogged trans filter. If they change it and find metal shavings in the fluid you know you have a more serious problem. Sounds like some of the clutch plates could be going bad.
  15. X2, if its an automotive charger just splice it into the cig lighter power and ground.
  16. By charger do you mean an in home AC charger or an automotive DC charger that plugs into a cig lighter?
  17. If what the seller says is true I would trade in a heartbeat. I'm a DC guy myself but I know the abuse the HX2 line can take and the results they deliver. The only thing that would slow me down is the fact that they are 10's and not 12's. The HX2 is a superior woofer to the Lvl 3, hands down.
  18. Nope! Im sitting right beside a stack of 4 DC XL 15's so 12's are out of the question lol I thought you said you had 2. My bad. 8 12"s? There would be more motor force (provided they were XLs) and more cone area, plus it would probably fit in, probably. Dude I just dropped close to 3K on my subs and amp! I'm not gonna use 12's in my build, I'm too far in to change it now lol
  19. The bed measures 16Hx39Wx69L I have 4 DC XL 15's. I've got everybody under the sun trying to figure out how to make it work, so far nobody can figure out a 4th order for it. Obviously the subs will have to be angled inside the enclosure to make them fit. I think that is whats scaring everyone off lol. What's the mounting depth? You could do a wicked tapped horn in there maybe, thet would be somewhat epic. Otherwise yes, just angle them, even though it may affect loading quite a bit. Still should be fine. The mounting depth is 8.25 on the subs. The truck is a 2000 sonoma ext cab. With the cover on the bed of the truck the abosolute max height is 16 inches. That pretty much touches the bottom of the hard cover to the top of the box if it is 16 inches. Hmm, awkward. Ever thought of maybe doing 4 12"s instead? Nope! Im sitting right beside a stack of 4 DC XL 15's so 12's are out of the question lol
  20. I asked you several times in the chat room for advice....no response I figured you wanted to retain the title of the loudest blowthru on SMD You were my first choice for help! I dont think I have room to do them like we talked about. The bed is only 39 wide. The depth of the subs plus 1.7 behind them wouldnt leave enough room for the front ported part of the enclosure. Atleast I dont think it would

  23. So I'm having a really hard time finding somebody to design a 4th order for my blowthru due to the height of my bed. I'm wondering how it would turn out if I just build a ported box with the subs firing up and the port firing into the cab of the truck? Any thoughts?
