  1. Yeah i have always heard that saying to. BUT THEN AGAIN there is also so much i could learn in the process to. This shop has been declared the loudest in our area. So it could be a plus in the long run?! lol
  2. lmao. Yeah and i know the product will get to me in working order. Yeah if the ups thing dont work out there is a company here were i live called autosound, dude there said he knows some people hiring workers around the shop. Idk his name tho. Which would put me around car audio DAILY
  3. That is what was going through my head, i mean i have a REALLY good possibility to be hired on at ups loading trucks which pays REAL good. Also as far as the amp when i do get employed i was planning or getting a bigger one.
  4. No license is suspended which has already been taking care of and job interviews this week. I can drive the vehicle in a week when my license is reinstated. Also i got a lot of this stuff NEW but from friends that were not going to use it. So i paid 1/4 retail. Sorry i forgot to mention that
  5. Okay i want some honest opinions, I am 18 and just lost my job and of course sense i just turned 18 i still live with parents, well i just purchased and jeep and have 2 MTX 12" jackhammers, just purchased (like 5 min ago) a 500-1 RF monoblock amp, I got all the wires that i need to install and i have a NEW kenwood deck. ALSO i got some help with a box design from here that i am bout to build which is tuned to 35Hz. NOT to metion that i dont have my license (currently) so do you guys think that i am heading a good direction so far, untill i can get employed again??? Also do you have any tips?
  6. DIDNT even know about this section. Well i am James i am currently 18 and unemployed. Just got me a decent jeep and about to put in my first REAL system ( at least i think) i found out about steve on youtube, and my love of cars just extended into car audio.
  7. I have a buddy that did it with psu's but there wasnt enough power to power a 200 watt amp with 3 linked together. So he wound up using like 97SSBlazer said and hooked up a 12v batt to a charger and did it that route.
  8. I am going to tell you know this site is a REALLY good place to start to learn about everything! There are a shit ton of people that will help you when and/or if you will need it. Also welcome to the site!
  9. Well the last time that i drunk anything it was 1/5 of jager(my sister introduced me to the jager bomb that night) 2-40oz Smirnoff and 3 beers, I didnt pass out or puke but i wasnt going anywhere anytime fast lol
  10. My buddy used 5 ply for his box with 2 15s it lasted about 31/2 months maybe a little longer. I have always used MDF which is $30 a sheet by me. But i am curious to how this comes out, let us know?
  11. pretty cool, im 120db then again i just started using the forum for real.
  12. Voltage drops in my opinion are never a good thing. They can cause damage in the long run even if the amp is designed with voltage drop protection in mind. They will eventually fail at some point.
  13. Flowmaster 40 series are badass, I have a set on my truck and the sound sweet.
  14. Yeah there pretty good tv's, I have had one for a while now and no problems at all.
