thanks... and yes.. the SPL box (which the SMD is not in) is for SPL only... at 61hz.. This box is one that is EXACTLY 1/6th of what Trippi's Hummer is. I built it for my Dodge ram quad cab. sub up port to the side... its wayyyy to big for the metro... but figured what the hell... I was waiting for paint to dry on some door panels I did for Mr. Gerald Jacoway... and I hate watching paint dry. lol hope you enjoy it.

Which 18?
Ric Thornton replied to ChevyBoy95's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
this is an opinionated thread so you are going to hear tons of different options... here is mine.... biggest question is are you going for overall quality of sound, or for spl? If you are looking for clean, reliable, almost bulletproof performance... I have an SMD 18 in my dodge ram right now and clamped it at 1500 watts and did a 148dB... plays from 20hz to 75hz with not an issue in the world, and it would love to have more power on it... spl... different situation... -

ok. I guess it's more confusing than I thought... That is an overlay. we open the hood when it gets to the show (motor cools down) and this goes over the motor when going to car shows they want everything "open"... well he didn't want to spend 12k on turbos, intercoolers, all that jazz... since he doesn't drive it daily... its for show only... I told him to let me come up with something... there it is. it worked. at both oc car shows, and at the funkflex and DuB show... he beat another cavalier that had turbos, etc. done... this was just too over the top for the judges, and so different... he won.
