  1. so i bought a Re MT motor from a dude on ca.com, and on the photo looks in good condition, and the shipping was pretty quick. so when i picked it up this morning before i went to work, and took it to my houses to check it out(that was a heavy SOB) when i opened it up, look what i got the top plate was shifted, and the box itself told me what happen, the only thing is that the base what not protected and the top was protected a lil bit from the stuff that was put in it. and the motor was properly packaged, but it seems that the ppl at usps decided to drop it. the good thing is that the seller put insurance for up to $200 and i paid $160 shipped for the item. i think im gonna keep the motor, tell the seller what happen, make a claim, get some money, and send the motor to usampfreak to see if he can center it since only the top plate got shifted. USPS = FAILS!!!!
  2. need help of using the calculator. im pretty much a noob when it comes to building a box
  3. just need to get the the hang of the calculator. like the baffle, port wall, etc...i really need someone to show me how to calculate my measurements to get the measurements of the cut-out pieces of the mdf. hopefully i explained it a lil better. lol
  4. so i wanted to build a box for my 2 Re Hc 18s in my 2002 nissan xterra. got the measurements for my back cargo, but i was pretty lost when i was using torres' calculator. can someone give me a hand? what i want is have the subs up, and port facing the back. the thickness of the mdf is gonna be .75(or if someone has a better recommendation, let me know)here is the pic of the cargo with the measurements taken: since im using a a RE HC(which i cant find the specs of it) i have it next to a hifonics bxi 2010d that im gonna use before switching to another amp with more rms
  5. but before, you add another battery, do the big 3.
  6. well, any sticker with the word 'audio' is gonna know you got beat in the car. but most ppl 'in the hood' just know about boss, xplod,...all the cheap sh*t.
  7. that is ridiculous. bass can kill ppl? if a car has a set-up that is metered 190+ dbs, then yea. i hate these sensitive ppl about bass is polluting the society, this and this and that. hey, its better than spending money on drugs, or strip clubs every week. car audio is just a hobby.

  9. welcome to the forum. nice place to hangout here.
  10. i would say with a nice h/o alt, you wouldnt have any problems just with 2/0 for the big 3
  11. if you have windows movie maker, you can burn it to the dvd. i pretty sure that the video clip has to be in .mpg or mpeg, i forgot. or even .avi is kind forgiving too. if you still need help, shoot me a pm
  12. ddaaamm. can i get an invite next time? lol
  13. man, i was going for lesnar, but when i seen him getting his ass whoop in the first round, i was like "shit, lesnar is gonna loose" but when second round came, then i was like "carwin is gassed, and lesnar might win this". honestly, i thought carwin was gonna out strike him.
  14. on the big 3, have at least 10-12 ft of true 1/0 ga. wire. spend the money if you have to, its better to spend a lil money now, then to spend a shit load when you have to replace your alt and bat when you use cheap wire. and for the amp, i have a 150amp fuse for my hifonics 2010d.
  15. try having the amp to turn off when the car is off. maybe that will help i think. or separate the race with the remote and power wire.
  16. anyone with a RE HC 18 they want to sale? im dying for one.
  17. wanted to buy a RE HC 18 inch. i got one and i wanted to buy another one. i know its a long shot, but wanted to try here to see if anyone on this site has one that would want to get rid of it. whether its blown or not, just give me an offer and ill see what i can come up with. thanks
  18. man tell me about it. i was reorganizing my wire, bought a 1/0 cca wire from knu, and got it running from the bat, to fuse, all the way under the carpet of the car, and then to my back and connected it to a distribution block. if i've known, i would had bought the knu's distribution block and fuse holder, cuz it was a pain in the ass to make the wire fit to the block and fuse holder. had to cut down on so many strands, but still had enough it power the subs though. 20 ft for like 40 something i think, and guess what, all i needed was at least 16 ft. xD but what i heard about the cca wire is that they wont last with a more than 150 amp running through. is that true?
  19. congrats man. and if your child is born on december 2nd, that is the same day that my daughter was born in '09. and add an air suspension on the stroller while trying to wall-off the stroller. xD. and from experience, try to stay up 1 week with just under 20 hrs of sleep. lol. i try to get into car audio while supporting my daughter, working full time and school full time. ill make it for sure. best of luck with you and the wife and the upcoming baby. -carlos
  20. XD nice, in a sealed box? --->Fail<--- if he tries to raise up the volume. im love the sound of bass, and i have those rockwood speakers in dual ported box, its pretty loud from the inside, but cant really be heard from the outside. so i think i need a larger box because the air space is not sufficient enough for the port. maybe the box was designed for the previous speakers i had, but the old speakers were not louder than these rockwoods for sure. dam, got to build a bigger box. oh and one more thing, anyone knows where to find carpet for enclosures? sorry for the noobish question, just started in the car audio game.
  21. ok, before you guys talk down on me. lol, i had some rockwood speakers i think they are model XR-4312, and i had them for like 5 or 6 years. so when i had a car, had an amp and decide to hook them up, i wanted to look up the specs for those speakers. next thing i know, i could not find these subs in the internet at all. and when i do, the detail is just a waste of time and not even worth looking at bcuz there are no enclosure requirement for the subs, no rms rating..etc. justa price, max power, dimension, and just the ohm inpedance. help a brotha out. thanks.
